I'm hoping it's a new Heroes' Guild, but that will be unlikely. It could be some old part of the Guild that was discovered and restored, but it's where you rule from, so it would have to be connected to your castle or palace. Or maybe it's just a part of your castle or palace that has nothing to do with the Heroes' Guild, but it's named after it.

considering bower lake is one of the places still available in albion, I'm guessing that it will be the hero's guild remade, judging by the replace tomb door in the center of the lake.
and peter did say in an interview that becoming king is the mid-point of the game, so your character would have to use the guild until he has the castle.
In my opinion, the map room doesn't look that attractive with the checkered tiles, but the rest of the guild shown looks quite good.

From what I've been reading the Guild is the place that replaces the menu system. The Dev's are calling it the GUIld.

yes, so it is the new start menu.
i'm not quite sure how it will tie in with the start of the storyline but it seems like a good idea, and a good way to access the guild.
the fact it has GUI in the name is probably what inspired the dev's
but GUI also means combat bars and selection screens, not just the menu

I reckon the guild is where the resistence is located. We've seen the new bower lake developments on the concept art and we've seen the map table and such, so I imagine it might be your base of opperations. It would tie in well with menu system.
