Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero and DJ Hero are coming out around the same time as the Beatles too. On that note, Rock Band are releasing Lego Rock Band soon too.

I saw this about a month ago but I couldn't be bothered to post about it. Nice find though, I'll get Guitar Hero 5 but I doubt I'll be getting any of the others.

Activision today unveilied their brand spanking new Guitar Hero 5 site and with it comes a shock revelation.

The official Guitar Hero 5 site comes fresh with a new sweepstake Activision are running in the build up to the game's release, as well as an official release date, September 1st 2009. That release date on its own wouldn't be too bad, but it's a blatent attempt to beat MTV's The Beatles: Rock Band out the door which lands worldwide on September 9th.

You could call it ballsy, arrogant or just plain stupid. We're leaning towards the latter because when it comes down to it, we'll be choosing The Beatles game every day of the week over Guitar Hero 5. Why? Because they are possibly the greatest band to ever grace the planet. Duh!

Guitar Hero 5 will hit stores on September 1st of this year.

The GameStop one looks to be the most worthwhile because Best Buy and Amazon are just offering coupons and slight price reductions and Game Crazy is giving something out which will be posted on the internet straight away. The branded drumsticks are the best option in my opinion.
