The full and final Halo 3 disc has been uploaded to the internet by piracy groups a week before the game's release next Wednesday.

This is hardly surprising since, earlier this week, the game's street date was broken when numerous copies were sold by major UK retailer, Argos (to people who we're very jealous of right now). It was only a matter of time before a copy of the game founds its way into the hands of a pirate.

It's not worth you going on the hunt for it though. A pirate copy of the game won't work on a normal Xbox 360, and if you modify your console you stand the strong risk of being banned for life from Xbox Live, which renders Halo 3's fantastic multiplayer mode useless.

Just a few more days left...And all they have to do is wait it out, not that hard.

Re: Halo 3 Gets Pirated...

Pirates and the people who support them are idiots. What no one seems to take into account is whilst they are enjoying their downloaded games/films/music etc they are not only breaking the law but also harming the industry they are nicking off - the more people indulge in pirating, the harder it will become for the particular industry in question to keep costs down in the future. Yeah, they have lots of money, but games cost lots of money to make. If they aren't profiting because of piracy then one can hardly expect them to be able to keep games at a reasonable price in the future.

Risk being banned from Live and missing out on one of best multiplayer and co-op experiences in past few years because of their impatience.

Yeah, it's sad really. I mean, it's like...Do you download it now and risk being banned for life on LIVE, or do you wait a few more days and legally purchase it?

It should honestly be a no-brainer for that one. I mean, not only would illegally downloading it get you banned from LIVE, but it would ruin the entire multiplayer experience for that person, and not to mention the lifetime ban would prevent the player from the other upcoming online games. So it's not even worth it, especially when you would need to dissect your 360 to get it to play anyway.

Re: Halo 3 Gets Pirated...

You had to see this coming. People don't think in-depth.They think, "if only I pirate it it's only one loss", but then a whole bunch of people think that, and thats no longer the case.

I was wondering when this was going to happen.

Re: Halo 3 Gets Pirated...

Well, it's a very fine loss for no Xbox Live, especially sine the four player co-op mode is so awesome...what would be the point if you can't invite your buddies to play with you? I mean, come on pirates...

:pirate:

Yarr harr diddely-dee do what you want 'cus a pirate is free.
Being a pirate is alright to be.
You are a pirate.

But just like natural selection, a dumb pirate who showcases through XBL that he illegally plays a game, he is done for. And it this case they were extremely dumb as the pirated copies are thusly unplayable.
