We snapped some updated stills and a new wallpaper from the Halo 3: ODST Trailer and added them into our online collection. Hit the Halo 3: ODST Project page to browse and save as. Before you get too excited about the prospect of newness, keep in mind that if you've seen the trailer, you've already seen these shots. We just thought we'd give 'em to you all official like and in high resolution.

If you dont know this
this is a new game from bungie you won't play as the chief but as an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper
youre mission is to search for the chief the time is just before halo 3 and i can't wait to play it

ahh didn't know that last part, i think thats clever plot, I'm looking more forward to Halo Wars though. Hoping further down the track you can play the flood as DLC or an expansion

I love the Idea, my friends have been poopooing Bungie because of how much Halo 3 SUCKED! personally I blame the fact that they were taking advice from OTHER COMPANIES! It will be nice to have an ODST game for a change aswell I read about this in GameInformer Magazine a few months ago, it looks cool, the trailer is cool, and if you get all the VidMaster Challenges that come with Halo 3 Recon (along with all the previous) you unlock FULL RECON ARMOR! I personally dont like the armor, but k...

Couldnt have been that bad as has one of the best sales records ever in multimedia history and is still one of the most played games on Xbox Live.

It has got to be one of the hardest games Bungie has ever done. Halo 3 on Legendary should be nothing compared to it.

Why?

Because compared to Master Chief (and his alien cronies) that you play as in Halo 3, the ODST are wussies! If you could take the same amount of damage and have the physical prowess as the Master Chief when playing as one of them.. well, that's not right.

I don't think you need to be physical strong like The Chief i think it's more about sniping and sneaking around

Still doesn't change that these guys have the survivability of ants. Well, warrior ants. They are a bit tougher than the Marines, but they were still just cannon fodder.

Damn, they should stop with Halo now. The game has run its course. Might boost some sales if they say that Master Chief will remove his helmet. :lol: Then just do what they did in Halo 1. Which was the best Halo ever.

no they musn't stop the game is great i still like it one of the best fps games (My opinion don't get mad)
just like GOW where you can run like an ass and kill everything not much game have that

It was at one point, but they should just let it die. You finished the fight, it is GAME OVER. They are now just trying to milk it for all it is worth.

That would be true if they kept Master Chief as the protagonist. Then they'd be, as you say, milking it for all it's worth.

However, barring any off-screen cameos, Master Chief is out of this game. I don't see how they are beating a dead horse here - they are just exploring the quite vast Halo universe. A universe I've always thought was too big and interesting to be limited to the Halo series, and I think it's great they are finally dumping Master Chief and letting us see it from a new and fresh perspective.

This isn't Halo 4 they are making, y'know.
