Happened to Hex?

Why was Hex banned? I've looked through her last threads and they don't help to solve my puzzlement. Someone please explain.

Ohh just found out... to be frank he did provoke her by calling her a "Yank" ...Not really sure what that is as I'm from Yorkshire and have no clue about the never ending verbal war between America and Canada and the insults involved. ANNNYWAYYYY close this if you will.

That's not why she's banned. Steve Said she could come back just not as a staff member. She was banned today. Which means it might not have to do with that.

Simply put : Found the forums more frustrating than rewarding. Some shenannigans unseen and a feeling of kinda being jumped when confronting about the "inoffensive" yank comment.

She hasn't exactly said boo on here for quite some time:

the fact that drak's tossing out her email willy nilly to forumers giving a much more "interesting" idea why she left isn't exactly encouraging her to return either.

Seph should likely get a kick out of this : Just this morning I caught wind that a certain forumgoer who's name I can't recall perfectly (might be kamo up there ^) added her to ask why she left, followed by his saying that was not what he heard, and a fruitful interpretation of her leaving in a fit of tears after being dumped.

Either way, seems a moot point: No clue why she'd be banned as I know she hasn't logged on considering she practically lives with me.

I made a thread and accidentally called her a Yank (term for American). I didn't know she would be offended by it, but she started insulting back, then her staff status was stripped and she decided to leave.

Don't know why she's been banned though:unsure:

We lost a damn good member of the forums because of some petty and childish squables, it was unecessary and blown out of proportion. While I'm not saying I approve of her explosion in the Whinger thread, I do think it could have been handled better by both sides. If this is because of some personal, behind the scenes crap then it should have been taken care of far away from the forums and the general populace of the forums shouldn't have been involved.

Im not sure either way really... I think it could have been handled alot better... Not sure whats right and whats wrong about it all really...

Sensitive issue + some mystery stuff.. Yep, thats about all there is to say. Other than that, we can just kind of wait around until an admin decides to voice up. From what I understand there's little reason for her to be keeping contact with the addies so the banning just comes off as pointless or a personal strike.

Never thought of her being banned, was the last person I would expect... ah well.

I asked Drakan this morning and he wasn't even aware that she was banned. And was just as confused as I was and definitely wouldnt have given her email to anyone.

No, he is not. I know for a fact because a few weeks ago I contacted Hex over e-mail. She explained most of the situation to me. A lot I still don't know about.

I think we should just wait till an admin decides to reply before we make any judgements about anything...

Eh. I see no harm in speculation. Their word may end it but it doesn't have to be the only word.
