He's on speaking terms with Odin and he is the half-brother of Thor. He sails across the Atlantic in a longship, has conquered all the known world (rather, what of the world was known in 14AD), and he has a beard that goes down to his toes. He can out-throw Brett Favre. And he drinks mead. You see, he is from Sweden, and so he is obligatorily a viking.
