Re: Happy Canada Day!

Me and my dogs (Muffins the puppy pug and Jazz the yellow lab) are having a hatapalooza. We wear colorful top hats, run around the neighborhood, and eat pancakes. Muffins seems like she doesn't like the pancakes, well that's tough! She'll just have to eat the waffles. x_x

Alright, we might not run around the neighborhood in top hats, but I am glad it's Canada Day, because it celebrates that great place north of us that makes us look like pin heads. Jesus Canada, everyone loves you huh? (Except some of the French)

Canada, America's hat.

Re: Happy Canada Day!

Yeah, I meant analogous to Independence Day/4th of July in the sense that the 4th is often considered "America's Birthday" irregardless of the fact that the Constitution that formed the US wasn't written till 1780-something, and as of July 4, 1776 we didn't even have the Articles of Confederation... but yeah.

There's also the anlogous situation that they're both used to blow stuff up and, in some cases, get drunk. Also to have picnics, unless Canada Day does not involve picnics even though it's in July and presumably a day off from work.

Re: Happy Canada Day!

We put fireworks in the middle of the street and use our handguns to set 'em off ;)

BTW Walker you need to post the pics for your Userbar ;)

Re: Happy Canada Day!

Sounds like a REALLY safe way to set them off. Something my fellow Marylanders would do, at least the more heavily armed ones.

And yes, I know. I couldn't earlier because first I was at work and then I was only on the internet for a few minutes before I went to dinenr. But this really isn't the place for that little reminder, now is it? And yeah, I already found them and posted them in the thread.

Oh, and here: In honor of Canada, my favorite part of Canada out of the places in it to which I have been (Niagara, Toronto, and Thousand Islands):

Yeah, Thousand Islands was pretty cool... but nowhere near as impressive as the Falls. That, and I didn't think I could remember any islands I knew to be Canadian. Toronto was nowhere near as cool as the Falls. The CN tower might have been, but we never went up in it. And the Rogers Center (the dome Jays stadium) was a novelty... but not worth that much compared to the sheer awesome, incredible, inexpressible grandeur of the falls.

Yeah, I tend to get a bit... I don't know, melodramatic talking about the falls.
