Having problems with Fable

Hey everyone i just got the game and it wont work on my new laptop. Everythign works until i get to the actual game and all i see is black but i can hear the music and stuff. If anyone knows how to fix this please message me or reply. Here are my computer parts:

Windows Vista Premium
AMD Turion 64x2 TL-56 Processor
2048 MB DDR2 SDRAM Memory
160 GB Hard Drive
NVIDIA Geforce Go 6150 Graphics

cus its microsoft...Bill just wanted more money, so he released another, "better" OS, which he didn't even take the time to debug...and I don't know if anyone's noticed, but alot of people's Windows XP have been crashing lately...I know of at least 8 people who've had their system crash recently, mine included...and I swear they all crashed right after Vista came out...Call me crazy but I think Microsoft but a little bug in there to make the OS crash right when they release a new one.

well all i want to do is play fable and i cant cause i have vista... and i have a desk computer but the graphics for fable on that computer are all really dark. like i cant read any of the stories... but anyways if you know how to fix that problem i geuss ill just move back to my big computer haha

i have vista on my laptop and it runs fine it never denies any programs, and its been known for years that bill gates uses the paying public as beta testers and then updates on the basis of how many complaints microsoft recieves

I just ran that test Seph and it says my video card does not meet the recommended requiement. My video ram is 64 mb but it requires 128 mb. Does this mean i cant fix it either way or is there somethign i can do to raise it? thanks

well doesnt require but recommends but that doesnt matter it said it could play the game but it doesnt ...

Dont worry about graphics so much.. it says i couldnt run Guild Wars with my Graphics card and The Burning Crusade.. Sometimes those things are a bit off..

well it does matter because it didnt fix the problem of the game being blank when it starts me out in oakvale...

Try to right-click on your desktop icon for Fable and select "properties" then click the Tab namned "Compability" and check the box which makes the game run in 640x480 resolution.
I think the problem is that your screen does not support the resulotion which is Fable's default. Because it plays the music and stuff its the most likely problem.

(if this solves your problems, you can always raise the resolution in the options menu. 640x480 is pretty crappy...)

haha thanks ill see if it works now :]

yea damnt that didnt work. under the properties section in compatibility tab, it says "run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)'. I have Windows Vista... and that isnt an option under the tab :[

dang that didnt help :[ and the drivers that i find for my type of hardware my computer gives me an error and cancels the installation when it goes to the wizard menu. It says my harware is not compatible with the drivers..

Hi i just started playing this and i set the resolution to my comps normal resolution (1280x1024x32) and then everything is all screwed up, the screen gets cut off on the sides, when I look at the menu and I click on the options thing, half of the window is of the screen, and I see a 6 and 4 and the start of the resolution option so it reset all of the video options except brightness! what should i do?
(other resolutions do the same thing)

Do you have an "Auto Adjust" button on your monitor, perhaps?
