Teleportation actually works, I've done it lots of times to get into the cellar.
And to add to what jwc2200 said, the statue points to Bowerstone from 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM, and the chest inside holds a

So basically it has to be at night (midnight to be precise)... This statue thing also has an effect at Greatwood Entrance, when its noon, the statue will point at Greatwood... Go to Greatwood immediately... Have you ever tried the Trader Escort quest? The one where you have to take a trader to Orchard Farm? When you are going through Greatwood entrance with the trader, a bandit will ambush the trader from a side path.... Exactly at noon, a chest will appear here... depending on your luck, you might get either a Piercing Augment or a Sharpening Augment

As I said previously, and as James has said, it's 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
It's not just exactly at noon. It's between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM. And you won't find a sharpening augmentation inside. It will only give you a piercing augmentation.

Well, both of you are right with the timing, but the augmentations, as I said, are either Sharpening or Piercing... I managed to beat the game soooo many times that I've practically memorised it, and I've gotten the Sharpening Augment several times... It depends... But you are more likely to get the Piercing Augment ( mainly because its worth less)

You are mistaken. It will always be a Piercing Augmentation.
