help with chocolate box problem

i downloaded the cbox and run it in adminastration mode but when i open it it gives me an error saying.

btw i use vista. i downloaded netframe work 3.5 and repaired as well. and still the cbox doesn't work.

i downloaded the mvsc++ 2005 but still don't work.
my direct x is probably good enough because mine is vista and cbox don't require that high a dx

You should also not run Cbox when you have FE running as well.

i run cbox alone and still the same error came up

It wasn't going to solve your problem, just a tip to prevent any other possible problems.
Both apps read and write the same files, and that can cause trouble.

Get DirectX SDK.

i got it now and the error stops poping up (thanks for that). but a new one comes up :lol:
it said that my modding enviroment is not set up properly and do i wish cbox to fix the problem. and i click yes and it said exteral component has thrown an exception. and then i click ok then it said modding enviorment is not ok. appication will not exit.

i am so confused right now

i thought that chocolate box don't require freeroam. and yes i have read the thread countless times. but every time i try to set up free roam it gives me an error similar to the one up there when i save the dumper.

Use a fresh version of the FinalAlbion.wad otherwise it won't work. Meaning totally unchanged. Grab one off the game-disc.

i have no clue what all that is about. when you say that extract the files (dumper) on the data folder above the levels folder. is it just the data folder or the lang folder?
