how come Peter Molyneux says he wants to make Fable 3 more action than RPG based?

how come Peter Molyneux says he wants to make Fable 3 more action than RPG based?

Fables 1 and 2 did extremely well in the RPG way so why does he think that changing 3 to more action based will help rather than hinder the situation.

He wants to improve the game, if He succeeds yay! If He fails mistake learnt.

I think it's to make the game more accesible. He keeps ranting on in interviews how, 'More than 80% of people used less than half the features available in the game.' Or something like that. If he turns it into more of an action game, more people will be able to use all the features with more ease.

its a good point but accessibility wasn't the problem, the menu size was, with more than 100 things to trawl through each time you press menu people would think thats a majority part of the game :p

Which is exactly what he intends to fix with the new "Sanctuary" feature. Note that "Intends" was the key word in that sentence. I'm only able to be strung along by Pete for so long before I begin to doubt every promise he makes.

From what we've seen of the Sanctuary so far it does seem to be more user friendly than the nightmare menus from 2.

I just think the Sanctuary is a cool, innovative idea. Sure, it reduces GUI clutter, but it's also awesome to see all your items, clothes and weapons being modelled before you.

That's sorta what I was thinking. I was under the impression he doesn't want to necessarily reduce the rpg elements of the game, but merely streamline them so players can focus more on the action aspects.

I think so too,

Does anybody else think that living map is just the niftiest thing and where most santuary time will be spent.
