How to help others get achievements you earned.
This message is not about getting the achievements for yourself. For that see http://www.msxbox-world.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12151 or one of the many others found by using Goggle.
This is about how to help others get achievements that you have earned, mostly in co-op mode.
To do all these, invite the person to your game. Make sure that they can talk to you. For ones that require a good timing like The Companions or The Double Threat, make sure there is no lag in the connection. Things that cause lag sometimes are overseas connection, others using a computer on the same connection, bad ISP.
When it mentions that you have to earn the achievement yourself, this means that someone else did not do something to earn it for you.
When it mentions time spells, always use level 4 or level 5, and keep one in effect by starting the next one half way through the time of the current one. i.e. When the clock hand is pointing down, start another time spell.
The Dollcatcher - Have all six dolls in your possession and buy anything from any store, or tarveling vendor. You do not have to give the doll to the person, or sell/buy it with a vendor. You can buy food at the Bowerstone Market during the day, or items from traveling vendors at Fairfax Gardens at night.
The Completionist - Have earned the achievement yourself. Then sell and buy back an ability such as Strength -> Brutal Styles Level 4 or Skill -> Dextrous Styles Level 4. You will need to have enough strength or skill points to buy them back. To keep the points up just buy the poitions with 62,500 points.
The Horder (i.e. Keys) - Have earned the achievement yourself and buy anything from a store, or traveling vendor.
The Gargoyle - Have earned the achievement yourself, and then visit the Gargoyle Trove.
The Duelist - Know how to to do it consistently. Just do it for them. Attacking enemies is not requried to earn the achievement.
Ther Ruler of Albion - Have earned the achievement yourself, then move or teleport to another map location.
The Teaser - Goto Brightwood -> Wetscliff Road. Move right under the arch and take out three highway men. Then move upstairs, use time delay spell, move upto a regular bandit, not the one with the ruck sack, and highlight them for an expression. Use the expressions Flirty -> Blow Kiss, followed by Flirty -> Pickup Line. Never fails.
The Companions - Find a friendly character off by themselves, then you and the other person highlight the character at the same time. Then you each get the expression Fun -> Dance ready. Then count 3 - 2 - 1 - Go and both press and hold the a button. When you see green in the dialog, say done to let the other know to stop, and both relase the button to get the ball to stop in the green. You do not have to get the green to be as small as possible, any place in any size green works as long as you both stop at the same time. The hardest part is getting an isolated person. If you don't get it in four tries, someone is doing something wrong. Try letting the other person do the talking if it doesn't work after four tries.
The Double Threat - I like to do this one at Bower Lake -> Brightwood Road. As soon as you get there, allow the other person to move forward and right into the woods to attack a highwayman with his sword. Once he starts attacking, you jump on the same highwayman with your sword, make sure that you both get in sword hits at about the same time. Always works.
The Black Knight - You have be have the skills to do it. The real key is the prep work and having the person with you not in your line of fire. Just make sure that there is no lag in the connection, and that the person is moving with you as you get in position to shoot. I use about 5 - 10 time spells in getting ready, and once I have the distance, have one hollow man isolated, am facing the hollowman using a left bumper push, and have just completed a Level 5 time spell, then I take the three shots. Bingo achievement earned.
The Archmange - I goto Brightwood -> Wetcliff Road, then move down across the bridge and over to the farthest of two ponds. I use about 5-10 time spells to move around to get 5 enemies near me. Once they are really close, let off a level 5 schock or fire spell and another achievement done.
The Celebrity - You have earned the achievment. Just show any trophy to any friendly character.
The Extremist - If you have it, they get it when they join your game. Nothing to do.
The Paragon - For good only. Don't know how to be evil. You have 10,000 gold. Goto Bowersone Market -> The Town Square. Give 10,000 gold to begger sitting at end of bridge using Gift expression.
The Pooch Pamperer - Have a dog ball to throw. Same as single player, just do a good throw of the ball.
The Persuader - Same as single player, just get a gift from someone.
The Show-off - Same as single player, just do a perfect expression. A perfect expression is one where you hold down the A button and wait for the green line to be as small as possible.
The Hunter - Same as single player, just remeber to turn the saftey off. Bunnies can always be found at Bower Lake -> Brightwood Road then head North East. Bear to the right side of the map as you move.
The Chicken kicker - Take them to Bower Lake -> The Gypsy Camp.
The Menance to Society - Use Clothing -> Outfits -> No Clothes then find an adult charcter and highlight them. You cannot do this to children. Then the expression Rude -> Vulgar Thrust. Always works.
Hope That Help's
