Just got it, reading the first chapter

Has some good quotes before the first chapter, I think Rowling is hinting that some strong, main characters are going do die.

Why does it brother you soooo much.I'm about to go to 6th grade...I bearly made it.I'm try'n my hardist to be smart.I study and stuff....The TAKS test was that screwd me up...I coun't seelp....and its summer sooo I can't do as well as if it was the school year...

Well, by 2.30pm BST I had finished the whole book and to be honest...well, I can't say anything now, can I? Coz that would be most unfair...

Still, 3 and a half hours isn't too bad going for me...a little slow but then I wanted to be sure I understood everything...

I just got it, and it's pretty cool so far And just to ruin the ending, the giant squid is actually a huge animagus that turns into Voldemort and devours everybody :lol:

The ending was ruined for me. :'( I was on youtube looking up the video for Ultimate showdown, and in the credits they were talking about harry potter (Not sure why..) And they spoiled everything..Like MAJOR spoilers about the whole book. :'(

Yeah, that happened for me on the 6th book Sephi. I just don't go on YouTube when a Harry Potter book comes out now. Believe me, I know how much it sucks for that to happen :hmm:

Well I'm a fast reader but to fully comprehend everything in an hour is crazy talk :lol:

I actually get so over-excited with new books that I have to tell myself to slow down or I end up flipping back over pages to remind myself of what is going on...but although I speed read I do fully understand everything...it's what helped me at school :lol:...but it has a downside which is that I could check out eighty books from the library and be finished with each of them within the week. Then I run out of things to read and get bored...

As for the ending, well it was very....I dunno. My feeling at the end was "oh, ok. Very...yeah" I know that doesn't make much sense but to put anything more would be unfair for those who haven't read it yet. I won't even dare put anything in a spoiler tag in case someone clicks it accidentally.

i would enjoy discussing the book with people who have finished it... i really want to talk about it but i would hate ruining the ending for anyone... so if anyone wants to make a discussion for people who have only finished the book i think that would be awesome... without giving anything away i will say that i had mixed feelings about it after i was done... especially with the ending

Oh my a whole thread devoted the the release of Deathly Hallows!:w00t: Yeah, I got it the day it came out and finished. I can safely say without giving anything anyway(but I'll put it in spoiler tags anyways)
