You too? Wow, wierd... we're like... the Rain People...we've got like a bond...The Rain People, born under the sign of Rain!

Re: I like rain.

Yep, I love rain, too. Nothing's better than when a big ol' hurricane comes roaring up and floods out a couple roads. [heavy sarcasm]

But, really, rain is actually cool. It's nice to sit out on our front porch and watch it come down, while I read or whatever. Thunderstorms are even better. The problem with that, though, is that they scare the crap out of our dog. If we aren't home he goes and hides in the bathtub, then gets stuck. If we are home he follows us around, and if someone's in my parent's bed he goes and sits on their heads. Since he's a huge ninety-pound black lab, this is a problem.

Re: I like rain.

Steve's mutt does that too - ok, so she's small but she's still not the cuddliest of dogs to have to share a bed with when she freaks out in bad weather. In our old house she used to run and hide in the shower (why is that?) but here we don't have one so she wedges herself behind the toilet downstairs and then we have to try and get her out without losing an arm to those teeth...

I've banned her from the bedrooms so she can't do her usual thing of burrowing under the covers and making everything stink of dog...

Re: I like rain.

We finally had a day of sunshine today with no rain... but there is still 7 hours 15 mins left of the day so there is time yet :getlost:

Yeah, my family's official theory is wavering between "The mutt is stupid" and "The mutt is really smart! See, he knows that thing where the tub is supposedly the safest place to be during a thunderstorm!"

Lucky for you, though. You just have a dog under the covers-- not on your head. Fortunately, I share a room with my brother and have the top bunk, so when the dog is scared he joins my brother, not me. Then I get to laugh at him as he tries to get the dog to rejoin my parents.

I get the problem of the dog racing to Steve, wedging herself right in next to him then looking at me as if to say "And what the hell do you think you're going to do about it, huh?"

The dog is small - nevertheless, she is still pure evil...
