i was right ( and some disapointments)

i was right, if you read ign's review about fable 3, and what is in the game, i was right about child labour and factories. Unfortunatly i hear it is no longer an rpg!!!! D: not only that, they are taking out the level up scheme of your charcter, and are replacing it with a weaoppon level up. You start out with a ****ty hammer lets say. Two hours later of playing your hammer size will have grown, and iit will change its alignment. If you kill innocents, your hammer will drip blood. If you slay monsters, your hammer glows. I dont know whatpeter is thinking but i hope he has made this a good game

Re: i was right ( and some disapointments)

I did see in the screenshots a labour factory.

I believe what PM said is that he didn't want Fable to be categorised as an RPG, he wanted it to be unique. Though, if you were to put it into a genre... It's a RPG.

Re: i was right ( and some disapointments)

I'm a good player and i'd rather have my hammer dripping blood rather then glowing =/

Re: i was right ( and some disapointments)

I always liked the idea of items changing based on your alignment, but I also wished they would do that to clothes.

Re: i was right ( and some disapointments)

I just hope they don't go overboard and have the sword "connected to your soul"

Ah Fables going down the shat hole :P Still going to be a fun game though

Re: i was right ( and some disapointments)

not really , it just seems really unique, im very excited.

Re: i was right ( and some disapointments)

The idea of your sword changing with you isn't very unique, just as the good and evil theme isn't, lion head was just able to popularize it.

we must be patient and give the game a chance :P

Re: i was right ( and some disapointments)

it is unique, in the fact not many games have swords that morph as you level.

I think PM is getting crazier every day. I don't want Fable to be set in Dickensian London, I want it to be set in Albion circa Fable 1. It's not a fable if it's set 200 years ago. That was the whole idea of the original, and it droded's me that they've changed that.

lol well if were talking about the meaing of a fable.
A fable is a succinct story, in prose or verse, that features animals, plants, inanimate objects, or forces of nature which are anthropomorphized (given human qualities), and that illustrates a moral lesson (a "moral"), which may at the end be expressed explicitly in a pithy maxim.

I don't see much of a moral lesson coming from this game ^_^

i see where ur coming from arse. Peter mentioned he was gonna make a fable 4 and 5. Im hoping you can go back to the time f the old kingdom in a fable 4. Like say you are there to witness the guild being formed, or archon coming to power and overthrowing the court. Something cool like that. Or in between fable 1 and fable 2 would be cool. but honestly i think PM screwed up the fable timeline. That would make a:

Fable->fable2->fable 3->fable 4 (between fable 1 and 2)

it would be like game, sequel sequel, sequel between the game and sequel, then a prequel. I think he should have went backwrds before he went forwards.

Yeah, but the idea is that it is not a bland, mass produced Tolkien fantasy RPG. It's more of a folklore RPG, and they've just drodeded that whole thing up now.

If they do prequels, then I really can't see the overall story progressing anywhere. I think the main Fable series has to move forward in time, progressing the story line and having a final climax where the ultimate baddy is dealt with.

Re: i was right ( and some disapointments)

As anyone seen Lost? When he changes the present and goes back in time? I hope Fable does that. The way things are going now, Fable 5 might be right down my street... Literally.
