Re: industrialization

I like your creativity but I doubt Lionhead will make the story that complex. They will use the story to set up for future games.

Re: industrialization

...I think we should accept the fact that all of these people are dead and hope that fable 3 comes out with a bigger and badder antagonist. Preferably one with an awesome character design like Jack of Blades.

You are right! If LH creates a bad a** antagonist that could knock JOB to his knees then the fable universe could possible explode. Something is sending those demonic creatures:D

Re: industrialization

I hope we get to enter The Void in the fable 3. That would be legit.

Do you know what "legit" means? It's like saying "That would be true".

Anyways, I don't really care about Fable being "too industrialized". It still seems like swords are a prominent weapon...despite machine pistols being available in Fable II. I suppose I may be a bit upset if they throw cars in there at the last moment or something.

Re: industrialization

Yeah cars would take the "fable" away from Fable! As the hero is preparing to kill hollow man a car suddenly runs hollow man over!:D

No...if you recall scythe is obsessed with cheating death and the only reason he is still alive is by super natural methods hence why he is literally a walking skeleton. Theresa...not so much information on how she has lived for so long. So yeah nope. Oh yeah their is also Jack but he was from another dimension or something.

Also where does it say the hero of southcliff is the hero of bowerstones father?

Supernatural methods? That pretty much points to using Will powers. Since Theresa is also very skilled with Will it's possible that those with incredible Will powers have the ability to prolong their life... that is, until something more powerful comes along and slays them. Jack of Blades isn't from another dimension, he's from the Void (at least, that's what I remember hearing).

I don't remember exactly, you'll have to ask someone with a better memory than mine.

the void... that is another dimension. anyway, jack isn't human like Scythe or Theresa. will powers are what i think are keeping scythe or theresa alive; unless of course, they each have a massive stockpile of old kingdom 'potions of life'.

Ah, yes... I have no idea why I said that. I'm doing several things at once so I tend to be a bit... wonky, at times.

Anyways, that reminds me, wasn't it said somewhere that there were rumors of Old Kingdom objects that granted immortality? Maybe in the form of a potion? Regardless, I'm guessing it's because of their mastery over Will.

I don't know what keeps Jack alive but apparently, he lived in the mask so when the Hero of Oakvale tossed it into the lava, he killed Jack for good.

Re: industrialization

industrialization has occurred...thats obvious...maybe the new tech could help advance the hero's powers? I believe this game will still have that fable quality of uniqueness.

Re: industrialization

Back on subject, From what I have seen, other than Bowerstone, most settlements appear to be about as modernized as Fable II's cities. so is the world too industrialized? no.

It doesn't look like it really, does it. Then again we have only seen parts of a limited number of settlements. I could be more widespread than we can tell.

I hope so too Bowerstone Industrial looks great.

I know, I'm extremely impressed with it all. Very reminiscent of Sherlock's dark dank London of the stories. It looks really cool. I hope there are more areas in the game that will be similar.

If not, with how large the new environments are exploring Bowerstone to the fullest will compensate some.
