she reminds me of cartmans mom.

I made a reference to South Park ^

My mother isn't strict. I wouldn't say his is either.

Eh well thanks for agreeing with me guys, shes not a terrible mom and i don't want to call SS on her :P Ill just suck it up and get it done and plan it all for another week=/

Re: Involunteerly being volunteered...grrr

Children were invented for free labor. Seriously, that's the only reason people ever spawn the ungrateful little hellions.

It's possible, that if you had talked to her about your plans ahead of time and she knew you were doing something, that she was being rude.

Otherwise, it's the privelige of being a parent. Suck it up.

(Yes, indeed, I am being sarcastic. But seriously, getting dragooned into helping family and family's friends into moving and **** is a part of life. I had to help my brother's girlfriend move, I had to shovel my grandma out of the snow and take her to her dentist appointment, I had to take my cousin's kids home from the hospital while she gave birth to her next one (okay, I volunteered for that one, but still). It's the kinda thing you do, even when they aren't people who're actually related to you. And yes, you even get volunteered when you're no longer a minor.

Want it real bad? Join the military. You'll get volunteered for plenty of ****.)

Not criticizing, but honestly, it's STILL the privilege of being a parent.

Seriously. To quote my little sister, "something THAT big came out of a hole THIS small." After going through that, your mom deserves some free labor of an easier kind.

Re: Involunteerly being volunteered...grrr

I didn't bother reading most of the stuff after the first post, but if you read this in time, don't go. I can understand helping your mom's friend move, I've done that before as well. Her complete disregard for your plans, however, is not okay. Don't go, and follow through with what you had been planning to do.

Say you've got plans, but you're happy to do it the next day. You can't be expected to drop everything at short notice for something that doesn't have to concern you in the first place.
