I agree, I find it contradicting that Jack of Blades was beaten twice... Now count me if I'm wrong here (only played Fable:TLC once) but didn't you get the sword after you smacked Jack around the Chamber of Fate?

That is true. He couldn't defeat him with it twice since he got it after he killed him the first time.
