I've done it.

I have just completed every school kids dream. Finish school.

I just finished the last of my classes this week, and I have my first exam tomorrow. Exam season will be tough, but I'm not too worried since I only need a year 12 pass, from an academic viewpoint, to get into the university course I want. Then the REAL education starts.

Overall, it's been great fun, and I'm looking forward to becoming "mature" and "independent", or something like that. I don't really know what those words mean.

Re: I've done it.

Why don't you just dropout like I did? No school, no job, no worries. It's just fantastic, it really makes you feel like an important part of society.

drop out*

Because, and this is weird, I know, I actually want to be in control of, and have a reasonable quality of, life.

I wish I could just stay home and play Xbox all day (believe me, I wish soooo much), but I know the world just doesn't work like that.

No offence to you, though.

Re: I've done it.

Personally I believe that having a life partner is more important to quality of life than being successful in a career.

The irony...

Re: I've done it.

I keep getting confused as to how old you are...

EDIT: Ah, I just checked. You're a year younger than me.

Congrats on graduating, only to immediately start again. College is... better than high school in that you have more control over what you do, worse in that it's a lot more work. Really. I swear. At least by the time you hit your second year.

Now, I'm curious. Can you give me a quick rundown on Australia's school system? F'rinstance, why are you graduating in what would be the middle of the year for me? Why do you seem to be graduating a year and a half after someone a year young than me over here? Are they the same reason?

EDIT2: And out of curiosity, what do you want to do in college?

Re: I've done it.

Adulthood is knocking on the door, my advice is to bolt that door.

Being young and carefree in school is the best part of your life. Exams suck and i hated them but growing up and having responsibilities is a royal pain in the ass.

Re: I've done it.

University is a good way to get into debt whilst learning less than you did at Primary school. Sounds good...

How am I a troll? I'm just trying to inject some sarcasm into the forum. I'll gladly leave this topic and not come back if that's what you want.

Re: I've done it.

I've heard stories of people taking out student loans in University and then buggering off abroad with the money. That could be fun, until you come back to the UK.

Well done, you have just done what a million other faggots on 4chan do everyday. And yes you leaving this topic would be nice. We already have Pirate X, we don't need another troll who thinks that being sarcastic is making a contribution to a topic.

Re: I've done it.

I'm not a troll. I don't understand how I can be percieved as being one. What did I do that was troll-ish?

Edit: What is '4chan'?

Neither do I and I have no intention of ever finding out. Which is why I behave like a backwards three year old most of the time. But it amuses the children, if nothing else...

It...doesn't? Damn...

Live in our house then - it's pretty much how our world works. Occasionally I might do something vaguely grown-uppy like cook food or wash some clothes, but on the whole I play games. Happy face...

Can't you just sponge off other people for the rest of your life? :)
But then Jeremy Kyle will hunt you down and verbally abuse you until you kill yourself just to escape the sound of his annoying, self-righteous nagging voice.

Re: I've done it.

Well you were being sarcastic when it really wasn't needed, this is a serious discussion. If you look at everyone elses posts, they aren't joking or being sarcastic, they are congratulating arseface.

4chan is a forum that is home to the scum of the internet. These are the guys who type in CAP LOCKS, have profanity in every post, post child pornography and give everybody else viruses.

Re: I've done it.

Ok, fair enough. I apologise for my attitude. I did not mean to come across in any way offensive or arrogant.

Mature...means you can pee standing up, at least that's come to be my understanding of it
Independent means that you like to wear clothes of the opposite sex...or am i confusing it with something else? :hmm:

since you are doing both, and finished high school, congrats! :D
(this naked barbeque is getting realll awkward with only 2 people so far by the way)
