Jack of Blades for Fable 4? (or dlc)

Thank you! Finally, someone with an ounce of common sense! I want to highfive you so badly right now.
i do wish people would pay attention to facts and the court of jacks would be an awsome dlc thing or have scythe pay us a visit with some quests if he is still around i think he is

You know, that is an interesting connection that's been drawn between the Crawler and Jack of Blades. The Dark Minions from Fable III DO look a lot like Jack's henchman of choice, the "Minions" (and Dreadwings.) Lazy design or deliberate decision? Time may tell.
Jack supposedly came from a distant land to Albion, right? Maybe he came from Aurora. Is it possible the Crawler and Jack share similar origins? Even if they aren't personally connected, it's more than likely that whatever the Minions Jack used were (and by that I mean, where they a race of people? Monsters? Magical constructs?) the Crawler may have simply made use of what Jack left behind. Bodies for his 'children.' I'll grant you, Jack was a cursed sentient mask and the Crawler was a... thing, so it's difficult to know how much they actually have in common.

Saying Lionhead has confirmed something means nothing. Remember the acorn, people. Jack could show up in Fable 4, and they could say some evil mastermind gathered the remains of his masks, put them together, and then spent years of his life (Similar to how Lucien rebuilt the spire) reviving Jack's spirit, and put it on. Hell, they could even say that Reaver did it in an attempt to get out of his deal with the Shadow Court and stay immortal, not knowing he would lose his free will.

That being said, it likely isn't going to happen. Jack was a challenging boss, with depth and a clear goal who was a challenge to beat. Lionhead, while trying so hard to make Fable "accessible", are making their final bosses weaker than the first boss, which is sad. I killed Lucien with a rusty clockwork pistol that I found in the water of Bowerstone Market. I killed Walter while I ate a poptart and talked to my mom on the phone. If Jack DID come back, I'd want him to come back with the old combat system. Otherwise he'd have a final battle just as anti-climatic and lame as the Crawler and Lucien that it would leave a permanent stain on his legacy.

How do you propose they gather the remains of his mask when the hero threw it INTO A VOLCANO?

They did say Jack is gone. But not forgotten. I think we will see jack again, if they make Fable in the old kingdom time. Might just see him, not battle him. Only person I see coming back is scythe.

i know they probably wont go with it but i got an idea the true ending of fable 1 is the hero wears the jack of blades mask and somehow he is still alive and he comes back in fable 3 and you can either save albion (and aurora however you spell it)or join his reign

I dunno. I kind of think Jack was behind the Nightcrawler if he wasnt actually it. Its possible that it is the form he has taken after centuries in the void. He was probably just a conciousness, over the centurys focused enough power to generate a form and raise an army in the void. He can't directly hop back out of the void so thats what the darkness is, the void colliding with albion so that the forces can come through.

Jack was just a conciousness in a mask. The mask was the vessel, and in the Fable canon the hero destroyed that and so with it Jack. But just because the vessel is destroyed doesnt mean the coniciousness within is too. Thats why Theresa can't pass on, because she knows Jack is still pulling strings.
I loved this theory/ explanation.
Sounds pretty good too.

Like I also said, its very unlikely. I highly doubt they would bring him back, but its a workable example of how they can bring him back if they wanted too. I'm no proffesional writer, but if I can think of a plausable way, its not beyond the imagination of a professional storywriter.

I know it's highly unlikely but I personaly loved JoB. To me he was THE best video game villain <3
I just love hearing examples/folklore/ fanfiction of him

Jack. Is. Dead. He. Is. Not. Coming. Back. No. Matter. How. Many. Crazy. Asinine. Theories. You. Come. Up. With.

I mean, seriously people, he's dead. He is not coming back. If you don't believe me, I will gladly throw each of you into a volcano and then you can tell me if you're still alive or not.

You make a compelling argument. The threat of cartoon violence has swayed me, my good man.

Still, I'm curious, what would you do if Jack did return in the next Fable? You denounce these theories because they are founded upon a possibility that wouldn't make any sense (and I readily concede that Jack returning would be nonsensical), but not making sense has never stopped something from happening in any medium of fiction. There's every possibility you could eat your words. It's not as if Lionhead has never rescinded on a promise before. Now, I'm not saying you're foolish for believing what you do, because it's sound reasoning, but you have to admit that it's possible that they might bring Jack back.

I'm searching for the logic int hat post and I just... can't... find any...

First off, Jack is nothing but a mask. A MASK. Last I checked MASKS don't have life. Is your imagination really so bland that you can't think of ANY way for him to come back? There are hundreds of ways LH could write him in if they so chose to.

"Jack's spirit escaped from the mask before it hit the magma"
"Not even the hot flames of the volcano could burn such a powerful artifact"
"Theresa, seeing that Jack had a future destiny, saved him from the flames and keeps the mask herself for future use"
"The volcano is now inactive, and at the very bottom lay the remains of Jack's mask. A power hungry warlord has it fetched for him, repairs it, and puts it on."

And those are quickly though up ideas. Call it asinine all you want, but it is still more prudent than your argument or any argument you have posted in this thread.

Wasn't there a book in fable 2 that said. A jack of blades cult had a book something..something and jack made brief apperence? Alot can happen in a brief moment. Then again, that could of been made up.

Last I checked, there's no such book.

Jack IS the mask. The mask IS Jack. That's why when a hero puts on the mask it takes him over and he can't remove it.

1. Read what I just said.
2. That's irrelevant as the mask would be trapped in the magma and so far there's no being alive that would be able to retrieve it.
3. That... wow... that's ridiculous on so many levels.
4. How would he repair it? How would he be able to retrieve it from the magma? How would he even know about? 550 years have passed since Jack of Blades. That's not even taking future games into account since they too will more-than-likely jump in time.

Actually, all I've seen you do is come up with ridiculous theories for a character who is long gone and will not be coming back. You have absolutely nothing to base your argument off of and to be honest, you just seem like a rabid fan who can't accept the truth. Call me rude or whatever but that's how I view you.

It was the cult of blades tattoo. My mistake I read it wrong, said made a breif appearence, I thought it was talking about. Jack, but must of ment the cult.

How good you find my quickly thought up ideas is not the point. If LH wanted to make Jack live, they could just write him in. Snap of their fingers. Why? It's fiction, in a video game. They can do what you want. Just because you yourself are too narrow minded to recognize this doesn't mean it is the "Truth", and you citing LH as a source is bull; They have said many, many, MANY things that turned out to not be true.

Honestly, I don't want to see Jack come back. If you'd read my first post in the thread you'd see that. You're just not making any logical sense in your argument, and to me all you seem like is a scamp who refuses to listen to reason.

well forgive me for disagreeing with such a vastly superior logic but i did just beat fable 1 TLC again and well. first he was beaten. imprisoned in another world essentially...and yet comes back as a dragon. while yes he was a mask and a mask was him but was the mask not essentially a vessel? while putting on said mask JoB transferred into the main villains body. do we agree? yes i imagine we do. ok so he can transfer bodies at will. and can escape while yes we beat him. but we were also the only person who could. while even in a dragon's body he was not powerful enough correct (unless your just a terrible gamer). so he not only started as a mask ended up a sucked back into a mask out of a dragon but claims to be immortal and have power that even the gods fear. well what if he truly has such power? do you really think that such a power could not save itself from merely a pool of magma? not too mention did you actually see the mask go to the bottom of the pool? whos to say it didnt end up on a rock in said pool? not to mention i guarantee if a women albeit rather powerful women can live approximately 560 years a mask containing the supposed most powerful being in fable lore could not also survive a pool of lava? i just dont see how you can be so against this theory and thats all it is is a theory how can on be so against it? JoB was the best villain the game had in my opinion while i agree he shouldn't come back it would be pretty interesting if he did. well now all i can really say is if you disagree good for you dont sit here posting how asinine my logic is when your really isnt any better.
