Oh well

Yeah no current plans but cant imagine Lionhead skipping the loyal PC fanbase so id expect Fable 2 to be on PC.

Oh I think it will definitely come out for the PC. It might be a year after the xbox version but it will almost definitely be made for the PC and maybe even the mac

Maybe but don't get your hopes up. As many of you know I am one of the few (might just be me only) skeptics who thinks it will be released on PC. Peter Molyneaux specifically stated it will be for 360 for the time being. Many of you also know I like to discourage beliefs and hopes about Fable 2 because, quite frankly, it bugs me seeing all these threads on "Please No guns in fable 2!!! or "Can we have sex/rape/be gay or lesbian in Fable 2?". Maybe its just me but when people formulize and create "game idols" then it defeats the purpose of game anticipation and then they feel disappointed when the game is released because it didn't have the features they wanted. Well thats just my two cents, feel free to attack and make fun of my opinion at your own freewill.

He said the same thing about Fable so.... it was listed as Xbox (Exclusive)

Well, personally, I think that's they're own fault. If they want to get their hopes up about pets, peronsalities, custimizing characters and weapons, then so be it, at least if gives the members something to talk about until Fable 2 actually does get here, because if they didn't make the threads, then the forums would be pretty bleak and the owners wouldn't have anything to do. Like I said, what's the harm in them getting their hopes up if THEY'RE the ones who will be dissapointed?

Becuase they all start moaning to Lionhead that their ideas werent in the game and think it wasnt as good as it could have been becuase of that. Even though most the features were just ideas in peoples head that Lionhead didnt even mention...

How long after the original Fable was it for TLC to come out For PC? I thought it was about a year that's where I'm getting my estimation from. However, if they’re just porting it over instead of adding onto it like TLC then I imagine it wouldn't take as long.

I agree but there is only so far you can stretch the limited news available. I have contributed to the "I wonder what it will be like" talk mainly because I can't wait for it to come out. I'm not going to be dissapointed because I have zero expectations. To a large extent I expect that it will be unlike anything we've described here. I've been playing TLC for the first time since posting here and what I do think is that Fable 2 is going to make Fable look like a demo game

Yeah but from what i heard there were no plans for The Lost Chapters originally they only made it because some fans and gamers were unhappy at how short Fable was and what was removed so made it to keep them happy until Fable 2... hence the wait.

You make a very good point there - of course, most people will have tried to imagine what the new game might be like but then again I find it hard to envisage a game that improves upon Fable: The Lost Chapters because I lack the imagination, to be honest.

It also reduces your appreciation of what has actually been created. Anticipation is far more exciting than building the whole game in your head and then realising that the game isn't what you expected.

I don't think I have ever made a thread about what I want in Fable 2. Sure I have hopes and dreams and wants for it but I don't bit*h and moan about it. I feel people can think whatever they want about F2 but when it comes to these arbitrary and pointless repetitive threads it just feels like a thorn in my side. That is one of the main reason I hardly post in the Fable forums is because its either been said or is just totally pointless. I'm sure we will all be blown away by Fable 2 because it is another step in making RPG's that much better and that much more realistic.

Well spoot. I would never let anything reduce the appreciation of a game, even if what I was thinking of wasn't in the game. Iunno, I said it all before but apprently everyone dissagress with me. I was hoping for something more in Halo 2 but what Halo 2 gave me was alright anyway..I guess is a good example.

I do see your point but then you are in the minority in that you don't let how you imagined a game to be spoil the final result for you - many people do, unfortunately, and they are the ones I am talking about. I lack imagination so it doesn't affect me - but some people have exceptional ideas and are bound to be disappointed when the game produced is not up to scratch compared to what they imagined.

I'm in the mind set that I will have played and won the imaginary Fable 2 and when the real one is released I get a whole new game. Another way of saying this is by posting and replying to others posts I'm "playing" fable 2 in my mind. When it’s released I'm not going go to expect any of what we discuss hear, aside from what is confirmed. I would be shocked it 5% of our speculations were correct. I will clear my expectations and play it for what it is. I have, over the years, developed an anti-hype reaction. When things are hyped up I start to lower my expectations so that I might still enjoy whatever it is. It was like that for superman returns thankfully and for the star wares prequels. I liked them because I didn't expect much from them. Ok now I'm rambling LOL.

On the release date I read another article (an old one on gamespot) that talked about a March release date. This would coincide with the rumored march upgrade/price drop of the Xbox 360. I foresee a bundle where you get Fable 2 free with the newer Xbox. For the record, I'm predicting that there will be three versions available
1. Core ( no HD) 199
2. Premium (20 GB HD and 90nm proc) 299
3. XL (100GB HD, 65nm Proc +HD-DVD) 499

Yeah, there is NO WAY IN HELL that Microsoft would pass up a chance to get some cash off of Fable 2, as you may know Microsoft bought Lionhead, but as I was saying there is no way they would give out the most anticipated RPG game of 2006 and 2007 for free just because they lower the 360 prices.

P.S.: I hope it comes out in March, so then I can ask for a 360 w/ Fable 2 for my Birthday in April! *crosses fingers*

I was thinking the would offer it with the XL model. Microsoft might not give it away but stores might like they did with GoW.

I wish everyone could afford a 360 and Fable 2 so they would know what they are missing.

My friend got really excited when he read about the January release because he has a b-day in January. I hope it isn't because he is really competitive, and boastful. He'd be rubbing it in my face that he got Fable 2 before me and he would play it while I was forced to watch him like I always do whenever he plays games and we're chilling at his house. Don't you hate people like that?

I think the Jan release Date idea is pretty unlikely not the least of reasons is the January and February milestones promised by Lionhead as well as your point of no marketing for the product. You’re probably right about March though. I hope.
My Xbox died and a have a warranty that expirers in March so I plan to get the cash to go towards a 360
