Wikipedia has updated it's Fable 2 page,(Fable 2 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) and there are some interesting changes like

Unlike Fable, there will be little to no reward for completing quests. Instead, the main way of acquiring money in Fable 2 will be a career chosen by the player. Careers that have been hinted at being in the game include; a barkeeper, a blacksmith, a farmer,`a burglar, an assassin, a hunter,a woodsman, or even a prostitute, although it is more than likley that many more will be introduced by the time the game comes out.

Though I know that sometimes you have to take wikipedia with a pinch of salt, a slice of lemon and a shot of tequila, last time someone updated they ?guessed:) that it would have couch co-op and they were right, so have a look since it's easier to find nukes in Irak than to get new info from Lionhead :)

The one thing I want most in the jobs is that they arent really REALLY boring. Monotonous jobs would make the game pretty....crappy. But if they are good, lots of money shall be made for lionhead.

I always wanted proper jobs in the original game- I'd definately like to be a barman at some point. Fisherman would be groovy, just general things like that. Do you think there will be unlockable jobs and job skills that would net you way more money- like say if you purchased a farm house in the country would it unlock a new job such as farmer and then you could do a quest that would increase your crop yield or the weight of your chickens so you could make more money?

I wonder how some of these jobs might work. Perhaps there are corresponding mini-games to the jobs. Like a bartender, perhaps you mix drinks and pass them down to the tavern patrons. A 500 year leap forward should have allowed for the creation of something either than the usual swill.
