Kingdom Hearts 3 Confirmed, More KH Games on the Way.

Kingdom Hearts 3 has been confirmed by series director Tetsuya Nomura. Nomura is interviewed in a guidebook packaged with Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Ultimania in Japan. Details from the guide have been spilled onto the Internet, with Kingdom Hearts 3 and two other unannounced KH games, being revealed.
"About the next title, Kingdom Hearts 3 depends on Final Fantasy XIII Versus, but development of the next title is already underway," acknowledges Nomura. "There are two titles other than Kingdom Hearts 3 in conception, and I think I’ll release one within this year.
"The series won’t end in Kingdom Hearts 3, more like the conclusion of the Xehanort saga. It’s not the case that when Sora’s story is over another hero’s story will begin; Sora will be the hero until the end."
Kingdom Hearts 3 is exciting, but I would advise against so much KH stuff. I already feel we have too many titles with all the portable spin-offs, especially as the series' big draw has always been how special and full of discovery the games are. When you put out too many games, they feel less special, and with the story getting more and more convoluted (seriously, we're calling it Xehanort Saga now?) I do think less is more.

Back when Kingdom Hearts 2 first came out, I was so excited to be playing as Roxas.

Too bad it was shortlived.

I wonder how old Sora will be next game.

...except there's a long list of console-exclusive games that didn't break any companies. Fable II, for starters.

Yes but I think you might understand what I'm saying - LionHead, Microsoft and the XBox and Fable franchises haven't been put to absolute ruin for having Fable II be exclusive to the 360.

This contests your statement that all hope for [Sony] is lost because of their own exclusives.

Maybe I phrased it wrong, what I meant is that if KH3 is NOT PS3 exclusive, then there will be no point in purchasing a PS3 and thus all hope will be lost.

Exactly. I just can't picture them in a "serious" game. Which is why I've always found the concept of the KH games to be quite ridiculous.

nah, ps3 still has god of war, little big planet, and killzone.
if anything the former of the 3 will keep people coming back.

That didn't stop the PS3 from claiming over half of the FFXIII sales. Square-Enix going multiplatform is a good business plan to rake in more money, there's plenty other reasons to purchase a PS3 besides a game with an emo kid and a ****ed off duck.

this is far from official or reliable but i found something that gives me hope.

square said that if final fantasy 13 was big on the 360 so will kingdom hearts its probabally going to be a multi console game
