Light speed broken

The laws of physics are way too messed up for someone to not have thought them up.

Unless, the most messed up part about the laws of physics is that no one thought them up.

Mindfuck.

Well, that is considering if this is all existence as we know it. In that case, it's pretty well managed. But what if there truly is an infinite number of universes? With an infinite number of possibilities? Then it would be inevitable to have quite a number of universes in which the constants are just right. It would also be inevitable that there are universes in which even though the constants are different, it still works properly.

But if the only reason that there are infinite universes is because it is a requirement of the laws of physics, then logically, wouldn't all the universes have the same laws of physics?

I would think it's above the laws of physics. Rather, the law of existence is infinity on its own, and as a result creates everything, including the laws of physics.

You're sounding like Zarkes. It doesn't make sense for there to be multiple realities if there doesn't have to be. If matter didn't work in the crazy way that it did, I'm sure everything would be governed by causality. Everything happens for a reason, and every cause and effect can be traced back to the big bang, and can be predicted (given enough information) with 100% accuracy, and so multiple realities can't exist. Multiple realities exist (if they do indeed exist) as a requirement of our crazy laws of physics, not the other way around.

But I really wouldn't be surprised if it was the other way around.

Well there's one thing that's sure faster than light--or indeed anything: time.

Your mum's faster than light.

Hey man, I'm not Zarkes! I'm not just highly interested in physics, I'm very scientifically literate. And I'm just philosophising, not stating anything. And It's not just my idea; quite a number of leading scientists are very open to the suggestion that reality is an infintiy. That there are higher dimensions which will lead to everything. We're supposed to live in a five dimensional world, with the tenth dimension being absolutely everything in every (un)conceivable way.

What should be noted about what I'm saying is that I'm thinking beyond the bbig bang and outside of our universe. Who says everything can be traced back to the big bang? What if the big bang occured inside a greater reality that we can't see?

Still just philosophising; no conclusions.

I was just saying that if matter acted the way that you would assume it acted based on what we can observe in the macro world, then every event would have a cause and effect chain that you could trace back to the big bang, and likewise project forward. If you had enough information you could predict the whole of the future with 100% accuracy. But we have uncertainty in this universe, so you can't do that.

That much makes sense. I wasn't talking about matter anyway, Zarkes was. And then still, maybe the uncertainty is an effect of an unknown cause? Boggles my mind.

Almost correct:
They fired electrons through two slits, but they came out in a extremely scattered pattern instead of just two bars of electrons, they thought maybe they were bouncing off each other so they shot them one at a time, but they still did the same thing, then they basically put a camera next to the path in order to watch them and see what was happening, then the electrons only made the two bars, then when they stopped observing it, they went back to the scattered pattern.

Ah yes. Maybe the camera caused magic electricity waves that messed the electrons up...? I'm no scientist.

It could just be God messin' wid us.
