Something as technical as that is bound to be glitchy.

And it's simply not there yet. But they tried to pawn off "Milo" as some sort of innovative AI achievement.

Re: Lionhead Reveals Milo!

Looks like Sony and MS are getting in on the motion sensor crap.

Here's to everyone looking like a gigantic tool while playing their crap games.

Seems to be whats making the money at the moment thats why and the Wii destroyed the 360 and PS3 sales wise. Despite it being the least used console and also making the least software wise too. Most people i know that purchased one have either sold it or it collects dust until a drunken house party night. I think Microsoft and Sony just want to give people the option of doing the same as well as having all the mainstream & hardcore gamers games on them too. However they wont force the motion sensors on you like the Wii does. Im no fan of motion sensory gameplay but i think its always good to have the choice.

Re: Lionhead Reveals Milo!

I sold my Wii for more than I bought it which was rather cool. The shop I bought it from had a shortage so they offered loads for it

I'm not sure if I'll invest in the motion sensor stuff though, it sounds like it'll be for the younger gamers etc.

Re: Lionhead Reveals Milo!

Until next year's E3 I'm still going to hold my cynical view that this is going to destroy fun games and make a bunch of casual kiddie **** that ruins the gaming industry for actual gamers.

Well most big companies wont develop games that just cater for the motion sensing software. Mainly because its glitchy, inaccurate and clumsy way of controlling things most of the time. They would not want their product to feel that way and make it seem unfinished. Im sure the market will still remain split and you wont all of a sudden see Halo with motion sensors or anything like that. Sony already tried to bring motion sensor control mainstream with the sixaxis and it so far has failed miserably as it has rarely been used in anything. So im sure both Microsoft and Sony are aware of the fact that most developers wont want to use it and they will employ new ones that do. Which in turn with invite more companies to start business and new ranges of titles to appear.

Re: Lionhead Reveals Milo!

Milo is amazing in theory but i would imagine has a low entertainment value...
"got the new 360 gear....should i shoot some nazis or draw a fish?"
lol :D

Re: Lionhead Reveals Milo!

I've been thinking about what the motion sensor thing is missing. I think Microsoft has failed to realize that we LIKE holding a controller. We are tactile beings. If this thing can let us play with our own stuff rather than just "Scanning" it's image and then playing with air. I think I'll like it. Mind you I'm going to get it either way but I hope I'm not just playing with air. Watch, the first game out will be about being a mime :P

Re: Lionhead Reveals Milo!

for me Natal is the lesser of two... not so evils, have you seen sonys load of glitchy crap that didn't even work properly when they showed it off at E3?

Re: Lionhead Reveals Milo!

Motion sensor is fail, until they make a new "leisure suite larry" where you can attach the controller to your belt and
Ahem.

Not yet.
Was hoping for a game myself, not some software demo.

This comment confuses me. Milo uses Project Natal, and Project Natal isn't made by Lionhead. (http://www.gametrailers.com/gametrailerstv_player.php?ep=62&ch=3&sd=1)

So are Lionhead showing off there new game or a demo of Natal. PM said he was goingto show that game (that he has been thinking up for many years) at this e3... Yet if he claims Milo is it, then either Microsoft bought the company ages ago or, it is a part of Lionhead or PM is lying.

Aghh confusion please explain

Milo is their "big" presentation, that's all they're showing, E3 is already over.
Hence me hoping there was going to be a real game, and "Project Natal" doesn't qualify as a game to me, it's more motion sensor cancer.

Re: Lionhead Reveals Milo!

Um. This kinda freaks me out.
You know >_>
A little computerized kid who knows how you feel.
-Logs into Xbox, and puts in Milo-
"Hey Milo"
"Your sad, aww, what happened?"
That would just freak me out o_O.. Kinda reminds me of Cortana from Halo.

Re: Lionhead Reveals Milo!

I wanna make Milo do my homework.

Hhmmm... really....

Interesting, I might just get this "Milo" then. Cortana was... an interesting piece of software, with great assets.
