on my second playthrough, i noticed that most of the stats from the loading screen were actually carried over, and being added to, from my first playthrough. i was a little surprised and and unsure whether its supposed to work like that. i am still unsure, because on my third playthrough now, apparently none of the stats carried over. anyone else have this happen?

Yep, i think it's accumulative. I've had a patch where they actually reset themselves. It went back to normal after a couple of days (but didn't accumulate the kills for the Gunning for Glory achievement in this time)
