Locate items found throughout game

Played the game for a few hours but how do i use the items that i gain through treasure chests or bought from a shop? I know how potions and food works but how about selling jems and other items?

Go to a pawnbroker in a city / town.

Yes you can only sell your items at these pawnbrokers. You can find them in bowerstone market, brightwall and Aurora

You can also use the items as gifts.
