Lookit what I made! Now tell me what it is.

This being me, that's obviously a flag. Tell me whose flag it is. If you get it right, you get some rep. Not neccesarily a political entity.

Also, whaddayathink? Is it a good-looking flag?

Also, I didn't put that much OCD-ness into it, so the proportions are wrong. But yeah. The red and green should be the same width as each other, the white stripes the same width, the blue a little wider than any of the other elements.

Well, there MIGHT be something in the file name. But where would the fun in that be? Gotta guess...

I also came up with two other versions. One just flips the colors of the first one, the third is a bit different but the same general idea.

Because this is more fun than reading Shakespeare.

Yep. All for the same people. Heck, the first two are just the same flag with green and red swapped.

I'll give you a clue-- I considered making it 94 stars rather than 3. Also, look at the colors. Who uses those colors? I'll even tell you that it represent multiple countries.

And Uganda should be... ****, I can't remember. But no. EDIT: Uganda is Black, gold, red, black, gold, red stripes with a big 'ol bird-thing in the middle.

Well, crap. That looks just like it, but with a few colors switched. And I had no idea it existed. You get rep for knowing what the flag of the Gambia looked like.

But no, that's not what I was going for. That leads me to think that distinctiveness-wise, one of the first two designs is better.

Just to make this clear-- the reason there are three stars is because three countries are represented. All three countries use red and white.

(And in case anyone's wondering, I did just make this for the **** of it. But I tend to obsess over what is the best. So I want my random BS flag to be the best possible random BS flag.)

(EDIT: Also, on the first two. I said that the proportions were wrong, but the proportions are right in that the blue IS supposed to be wider than the outer bands. It is not supposed to be a straightforward tricolor+white stripes.)

Oh, so you created this flag to represent three different countries? This whole time I thought it was a real flag, just of a country no one has heard of.

Also, after droded pointed out that it looked like the Gambia I created a completely different one.

But yeah, the idea with the first one was that it duplicated the Canadian pale design (wider center one color, and two narrower strips of other color) and the stars on the left were supposed to refer to the canton of the US flag.

Then the red stood in for the Canucks, though they all use red. Green for Mexico, blue for the US. White for all of them and unity.

The new one is just supposed to be distinctive. It isn't actually connected to reference anything.

EDIT: My one problem here is that the blue stars with white fimbriation on a red field are sadly similar to the goddamn Confederate battle flag.

OUCH! I wasn't paying attention. Way to go nicomon. I gave you the rep, I believe, I just got confused about who it was I was giving it to.

Now I feel guilty for getting the new guy confused with the much-less-new guy.

EDIT2: Looking back at flag #4, I also feel guilty that it's got green and blue right on top of each other. Technically speaking, dark-on-dark is bad. So I might add another white stripe.

in fact, i think stranger is the only other one who has confessed anything other than dislike for them.

i really suck at flags, so i'm just contributing that to the thread.

which i'll justify by saying that music is, in fact, an art form.
