Lost interest.

So, Fable (TLC) was my favorite game, and I was super excited for Fable II, but when I played through it I felt as if it was a big let down.. I actually like Fable I better than Fable II, so I'm not sure if i'm going to be watching and listening for F3, and when it does come out ill give it a try, but I think that there going to stray away from what the original game was all about and it will be forgotten.

Re: Lost interest.

yeahhhhhh. i blame it on the fact that being pure evil just doesn't feel as rewarding.
also, there may be something having to do with not feeling quite like a hero in a more urban setting.

Re: Lost interest.

Yeah, and alot of clothes make you look fat, and I was expecting when you were fully evil to look like the guy on the banner of the forum... I liked the older setting of F1 also.

fable 1/tlc and fable 2 are completely different games

Because that makes sense.

I played Fable 2 before Fable TLC, so I felt that Fable TLC didn't feel like Fable so I didn't like it.

Though, I think LionHead listened to the Fable TLC fans so you may see the return of a lot features that you enjoyed.

Re: Lost interest.

I hope they make it feel more like TLC, but with a new story and features.

I really loved the story on TLC and how it was put together. It felt like you were actually on an epic adventure, I didn't feel that with F2.

Re: Lost interest.

fable 2 i just felt like i was being told what to do because she told me to do it, i never knew actually why it was meant for me to do it other then lucien is the bad guy :P

Re: Lost interest.

I never really played the first Fables other than getting on the game at my friends house but we got bored after a few minutes. So I guess I can't give an answer to that but I can say that Fable 2 had a few problems.

For one, everything looked kind of gloomy from a distance, I don't know. Then, the story was too short. I mean, your gone for what -- ten years? And I got the Spire done in like 20 minutes. And then also, Lucien wasn't even a boss! I wish that it was actually hard to beat him or at least like a puzzle or such.

Re: Lost interest.

Yeah, I felt that way on my first run through of Fable II. However, after I took a year or so break and came back I had a blast playing it again. I wasn't so concerned with the main quest that I actually settled down and stuck to one wife, bringing her presents back from my ventures.

Though, I'm not sure how much an opinion on the Fable I, TLC, and Fable II will matter because it looks that Fable III's going to be a lot different from them both.

Re: Lost interest.

I liked the Childhood of the series. That's so much fun, I don't know why. I wish they could lean towards making it more of a mystery kind of like in Childhood. I don't know the word you would use to describe it but later on all it is can be just doing what Theresa tells you to do.

Re: Lost interest.

I think that Fable TLC felt like Fable TLC, and Fable 2 felt like Fable 2. Fable 3 will probably feel like Fable 3. I don't think you can say that the Fable series has a set "feel" when all the games so far have had different "feels".

I'm more intrigued over where they're going to go with the overall story. There has to be a big bad ultimate demon man who you kill at the end of five right? And he has to have had a part in all the other games in some capacaty. At least I'm hoping that's what will happen. I hope it doesn't just become a platform for PM's "innovations", and nothing else.

Re: Lost interest.

What I disliked about Fable II was that Lucien wasn't the kind of boss like Jack of Blades. Lucien wasn't hard to beat or anything. I remember trying to beat Jack of Blades and it took me the entire night to figure it out. I know I sucked. Anyway I hope in F3 they actually make a long challenging story line. Waiting always makes me anxious though...

Re: Lost interest.

I would really like a longer storyline. Because I play for an hour and I'm already in Bloodstone, you know? I think it should have more puzzles and more of a challenge.
