Main Page Freezing?

I don't know if anyone else has had this, but recently the main page has been making IE freeze on me. It never did this to me before. I want to say it started after the new look got slapped up there.

It's not a problem if I remember to go directly to the forums, but I thought you should know-- wouldn't want to put off new people.

Which version of Internet Explorer are you using? Also, which OS? Everything seems good to me on IE6, IE7 and IE8 using Windows Vista.

How long has this problem been occurring for? Do you get any error messages at all?

No error messages, just "Windows Internet Explorer is nto responding" and IE freezes, I noticed it the first tiem I tried it on my Grannies Vista, about 3 weeks ago, thought it was a fluke.

Yeah, no error, just the "not responding" deal. We have... XP, I'm pretty sure, and I THINK version 7, but I'm not sure.

And it's very intermittent. It'll work fine one visit, freeze the next.

Could you post a screenshot of the problem for me please? Also, does it freeze every time you visit the homepage or just sometimes?

I'm not sure I'm understanding the problem - does the homepage crash/hang on you each time you visit?

I have a few theories as to what might be causing the problem; the biggest one being the featured content slider.

I really appreciate the help guys. If there's anything else you can think of that might be relevant then do please post it. It's obviously a big problem if certain visitors are unable to access the site.

^It's not each time, but very often. It crashes, then I have to do ALT+CTRL+DEL and end the process of iexplorer.exe to get out.

It's not happening at the fable 3 page (the one you posted).

I haven't witnessed it happen on the pages you psoted yet Ego, can't screenshot, basically what Daemon's is. For me I would say it happens 38 out of 50 times.

EDIT: Checked the main page 4 times, works fine now :)

Thanks for checking, lads. Very, very odd indeed... I'm pretty much focussed on getting this fixed tonight if I can as it presents a pretty big problem. If the problem occurs again do let me know. I still need as much feedback as possible regarding this issue! Is it possible that when you guys checked, it could have just been one of those times where it worked as it should? I notice you both mentioned that it occurs 25%-50% of the time.

I'll be giving out premium subscriptions to those of you who have contributed thus far. Please do go ahead and post anything else if you feel it might help me track down the bug(s). I'm going to set up my Win XP PC tomorrow to see if I can re-produce the problem. Very strange...
