Major Charger Problems

Long story short, my brother and I have quite expensive chargers which have been working fine for about 2 months. The chargers have little screens on them saying how many volts are going through them.

My power pack stopped displaying the volts and was blank, but my laptop said that it was still charging although it was actually slowly losing power. I swapped to my brother's power pack which showed the volts but was doing 0 for my laptop, which acted as if it had nothing at all.

Right now I have one power pack connected to the other, which is now connected to my laptop. The power is very slowly (about 1% every 5 minutes) rising but I doubt it will last and it can't be a long term solution.

Any help?

I'm not sure, the charger port was broken before but I got it sent to a company for a permanent repair, which involved customising the laptop. It did damage the sound a bit but that's unrelated.

I've gone through about 7 chargers in the past 2 years and right now I don't know if it's the chargers or, like Cheez said, the battery.

If there's any way you can test the charger elsewhere, like on a friends laptop, do it. Try and find the source of the problem. If it's not the charger, it's probably the jack for the laptop.
