Make the Book Quest Shorter
Gathering the books is not bad, having to give the teacher all the books
can be time consuming and boring after you have done the quest a few times.
Now you can do the quest with less books needed to get the key, or either
wizard hat. You can just spawn keys in a chest, but I like to do as many
quests as possible, I just get lazy sometimes. Some credit goes to 'OldBoy'
for letting me know about the script.bin, I probably never would have looked there on my own.
To change the number of books it takes to get a hat:
Open FableExplorer,
Double click script.bin,
Click the plus sign beside CScriptDef,
Double click 597-SCRIPT_DEF,
Click the plus sign beside CScriptDef in the new window,
Scroll down the list about 1/3rd of the way,
Single click 4CF2A773-BadBooksForHat to change number of bad books needed,
or
Single click 188225A2-GoodBooksForHat to change number of good books needed.
To change the number of books needed to get the key:
Open FableExplorer,
Double click script.bin,
Click the plus sign beside CScriptDef,
Double click 597-SCRIPT_DEF,
Click the plus sign beside CScriptDef in the new window,
Scroll down the list about 1/3rd of the way,
Single click 3AB4BA79-BooksNumberAccepted,
Change this number to at least one more than the number needed for hat.
Click Actions, Save Mods and Run Fable.
