Members....?

I was looking at the stats at the bottom of the page, and it said we have 7818 members. Didn't we have 23000 at one point?

I don't know if it was a culling of all the spambot's accounts, or us suddenly deciding not to count certain members.... Just curious.

Well spotted. I've been performing some server optimization recently and clearing some of the unused/spambot registrations from the forum was on the to-do list. Don't go thinking that 15,000+ were just spambots, though. I felt it a good idea to delete accounts that had below 5 posts and haven't logged in for over a year.

Ah well, looks like all those milestones are gone.

But spambots are gone, so that is always good.

Hey Steve, I don't know if you remember or not, but I had a second account on here that I made in school and then totally forgot about named "TJGriffin" (notice no space). I'd appreciate it if you deleted that one too if you haven't already.

Yes I know creating multiple accounts is against the rules, but I completely forgot about that account and made this one months later. The admins have already forgiven me for it.

How sad. But hey, I prefer having real members to a bunch of posted-once BS members. And, sure, we STILL don't have 7 thousand-some real members, but still.
