yeah... i personally dont like Sony. the PSP is the greatest creation of handheld gaming though.

i own a psp and had a ds. the psp could be better, only complaint is that its just a smaller crappier version of the ps2.

what would make the psp really sweet is if they incorporated a camera on it to take still photos and video. then you would really have an all in one handheld system. or make it a bit smaller and add the camera with a phone on it.. but thats getting a little excessive. haha

Could I get a link to that Engadget article? I wouldn't mind checking out the full write-up and reading what else was said.

BTW, shame that there won't be any newer Xbox 360 models released next year. I had heard that the next 360 models would sport the newer 65nm GPU or 65nm CPU hardware and go by the moniker "Jasper". I've got one of the newer Falcon models and it's prety sweet but I definitely wouldn't have said no to a "Jasper" model. Shame that's not going to happen now, though.

really now? havnt done much research in that as of yet, but maybe i will look into yet. but, considering the trend with technology coming years later to america after it hits japan.

well, ive read an article a while back about the original xbox being killed off before its time when the 360 came out. but, in all honesty, the 360 is much much better than the original. who knows what microsoft is planning on doing right now, if they announce a new system coming within the next year or so it may ravage their sales on the 360; no company wants that.

The Xbox's reason for failure is the same reason that the PS3 is lagging behind. It cost to much to sell and Microsoft were losing money on every console sold and it didnt have enough exclusives. The Xbox was the one with the built in hard drive (like the PS3 now), the Xbox was touted as being more powerful, and it just didnt have the games. Without games the console will amount to nothing and Microsoft fixed that for the Xbox 360.

There will be another Nintendo console i imagine but Sony said the PS3 will have a 10 year lifespan. They need to wait until they start making profits on it or risk losing a lot of money.
