Microsoft to offer free MS points.

February 22, 2010 - Next month will see the release of some high-profile games on Xbox Live Arcade, including Perfect Dark and the virtual retro arcade Game Room. Microsoft has deemed the month of March "Block Party" and has announced a couple incentives to try and convince you to attend.

The three XBLA games being released in March are Toy Soldiers ($15), Scrap Metal ($15), and Perfect Dark ($10). Game Room (free) will launch on the last Wednesday of the month. Purchase all three games and download Game Room and Microsoft will reward you with 400 Microsoft Points ($5). That's enough to get you an arcade title for your new Game Room – they should cost $3 each.

Xbox Live Gold members who pick up all three games and Game Room will get themselves a free month of Xbox Live. And for one weekend -- Friday, March 26 to Monday, March 29 -- Xbox Live Silver members can enjoy all three Block Party games' multiplayer features. Online multiplayer is usually a privilege of Gold subscribers.

You have the entire month of March to get the Block Party games and qualify for the freebies.
Doesn't seem worth it to pay $40 for 40 free points, but if you think you will enjoy all those then go find it.

Re: Microsoft to offer free MS points.

Sounds like fun but with 40$ *total cost for all 3 games* you could buy about 4000 MS points (From navy exchange)
But i suppose its more about getting together to have fun then the points. Sounds fun thanks for sharing!

Re: Microsoft to offer free MS points.

no thanks ! lol this is just a sneaky ploy by microsoft to pocket your well earned cash

Re: Microsoft to offer free MS points.

Make that offer 1200 free points, then we'll talk.

Re: Microsoft to offer free MS points.

Well that's silly. Not worth it at all. O_o...

Re: Microsoft to offer free MS points.

Wait... $40 for $5?

That $5 for free instead would be very welcomed.
