Mile High Club

Well, just getting this achievement in Call of Duty 4, I decided to ask anybody has gotten the achievement to post here. Damn hard too...

So just say if you have, and to get the achievement, for people who don't know, just beat that mission on veteran difficulty. :P

I'll just make a list to be not so lazy. And I'll eventually alphabetize it.

I havent got the patience i got so close many times but havent got it and my anger kicks in too fast. :lol:

Thats what caught my attention, and i haven't been on a plane since i was 10...

I got the achievment about 3-4 months ago. My tip just keep on trying you will eventually get it. try for about 30 mins and if you didnt get it take a break and then get back at it. Thats what i did tooke me about an hour

I have 980/1000 achievements for Call of Duty 4. Guess which one I have left to unlock? That damn Mile High Club achievement, that's what! I tell ya', I've watched every Mile High Club video walkthrough available on YouTube and attempted to mimic 'em as best I can (and there's some pretty diverse walkthroughs to be found) and I still can't unlock. Unlocking the Mile High Club achievement is an absolute nightmare and, I'd say about 99.99*% luck since the AI is prone to being a dirty little cheat.

I've gotten to the end so many times only to screw up at the very last second (or run out of time). I've given up on it, personally. Unlocking an extra 20G would be nice but I'm too worried that I'll end up getting too annoyed and launching my 360 controller at my TV. ^_^

Tips: Keep to the left, and start with your pistol, and stab the first guy. Remember, your teammates are invincible killing machines, and try to keep in crouch all the time, and don't kill everyone, use your flashes and keep moving, and only hipfire, and reload at cover, and NEVER stop to heal, not enough time.

So, in short...:
1. Start with pistol
2. Stab first guy
3. Shoot ONLY first guy with the pistol in the first room on the left
4. Throw a flash through the door and and crouch into cover, and from here on in, CROUCH.
5. Do not sprint, and only stop to reload.
6. Only hipfire with the MP5, never actually aim.
7. Always throw flashbangs at large enemy groupings coming through.
8. Keep your *** moving!
9. When the hull breach happens, just wait, almost all the enemies will be killed.
10. Just keep moving up the stairs, a couple of enemies will come down, blaze 'em.
11. Watch the corners, and go through, and stand up, as there is no crouch cover.
12. Near the end, sprint to the door, there will be no enemies and you can just run.
13. This is mostly luck of the flashbangs, etc. It'll take some time.

THE EXECUTION

All right, it is in slow motion, and so is the time. Only headshots work here. Now wait for the guy holding the V.I.P. hostage to bend his head down with his, and he'll lift his head alone, and carefully OWN HIS DUMB ****ING ***. And then you've beaten it. :P

Just adjust this to your liking. Hope these tips helped. :D

And I'll add the names of those who've beaten it.

lol at the end his head popped out and then it went behind the other guys head. You couldnt even see his head. I was like crap so im thinking ill get it next time so i just shot and it skimmed his head and i got it. I was so happy!

You need a lot of luck, especially with the flashbangs.

ive had it for quite some time now id play online then play that and eventually got it... it helps if you use flashbangs ALOT. and if you watch someone else who got the achievment do it...

I ****en hate trying to get it!!! ive tried many times and got close then lost and i broke a xbox 360 controller because of it hahaha.. i get really angry if i dont do it.. then i get bored of it then stop..

A ton of patience is required, I almost snapped. But now I can say I have every achievement in Call of Duty 4. Pretty awesome.

on the last guy in slow motion i tried this on easy and not on veteran but if you shoot his leg (if you miss you loose and its really easy to miss) he will pop out and you can easily shoot him in the head or the chest like 3 times and after that GG

but on veteran if you shoot him anywhere else it will say "veterans only get headshots" So you have to shoot him in the head

Yeah, on Veteran difficulty I believe it says "real soldiers go for headshots" or something close to that. I've personally never had that message, but it must have been a blow to anyone.

yea when i did it on veteran as soon as the door opens he pops his head out of the top i suggest doing it on easy a couple of times till you get a hang of it but its probably the easiest part of the whole thing and the 15 seconds is in slow motion so you have plenty of time to get your shot off (15 seconds on easy im not sure about veteran i wasnt paying attention to the time just his head ;)


oh yea and i guess thats why i failed the first time i got to that part because i shot at his leg >.<
