My most terrifying 14 hours of my life!

... getting 5 and 7 days survivor achievement on Dead Rising! For those that don't know about that (fo' shame...) it means having to keep your 360 running for 14 hours straight!

The gameplay is peice a cake, just keep Frank fed and happy by feeding him ever 15 minutes, but the strain on the 360...

Oh, I kept patting it and whispering words of encouragement and it seems to have pulled through just fine, but I think I'll let it sleep it off by not playing tomorrow... or something.

Yeah, like the time when my friend didn`t have a memory card for his PS, but didn`t want to lose his progress, he kept the console running for 3 days straight. And he hide the power light from his mother so she wouldn`t turn it off.
Strange, companies say that even 1 day is extremely risky.

Re: My most terrifying 14 hours of my life!

Umm, wow. Thats the most amazing thing I have heard about someone do on Dead Rising next to my friend getting 20,000 + kills.

Re: My most terrifying 14 hours of my life!

Sounds like hell. :O Congrats though. :)

Re: My most terrifying 14 hours of my life!

Lol, when I saw this thread, I thought someone had been held hostage or something  But now I see how much worse it is :noexpression:

That's interesting, so a day in the game is two hours in the survival? Wow. You can not have an idea of how crazy game developers are today :P Lost Planet achievments are quite easy. Gears of War had one or two hard, but atleast not so long achievments.

dude go into the car park, get the car and drive in the parking area underground, kill like 500zombies in a minute

Hehe. I've killed 53-thounsands-something zombies once. It is sorta a requirement to do the survival thingy I just did, because the achievement of killing 53-thousands-something zombies gives you a really powerful weapon.

Yeah, crazy. It isn't even hard, whilst the main character loses health slowly and you have to find food to restore it, it is far too easy to stockpile tons of food, and there are items that makes the food heal like 200 or 300% more, basically making one food item heal you up to full health.

The challange is finding something else to do for those 14 hours, whilst still keeping a watchful eye at that health meter...

Re: My most terrifying 14 hours of my life!

Is it really bad to leave your console for that long !?

Used to leave my playstation on all day when I first played Final Fantasy X
Started a Boss battle in the morning before school.. then just finish it when I got home.

Yeah as it can cause internal components to overheat, and with Xbox 360 having heatsink issues it isnt wise to leave it on for ages if you have any form of heat source next to it (power block, heater etc) it could give you 3 rings of death.

Re: My most terrifying 14 hours of my life!

Good job, man  One of my friends got that achievement, too. Survival of the people with the most caffeine, I guess ;)

It takes alot of skill to pull an achievement like that off. Deserves alot of g's.

So Tsuyu did your Xbox recover from the torture you put it through? Is it scared for life now? Will it make Fable TLC even more screwed up on it

Re: My most terrifying 14 hours of my life!

lol, my xboxx is custom, it has a mod chip (took a HUGE load of money) and it hasn't screwwed up (yet) ya, but if you want to blow like 700 dollars, buy one!

Re: My most terrifying 14 hours of my life!

I don't see the point in chipping an xbox O.o

not a good idea, I'd say...
it voids your warranty and if you're caught, and you will be, you're barred from Xbox Live... not worth it if you ask me ;)
