Especially with as old of a console as an Xbox :hmm:

I played Fable for 13 hours straight once... i didnt know it was dangerous!Tsuyu;123849 said:Heh yeah. Gave it a day to rest, as I said, and it seems fine. But I don't think I will be trying to do this again in the near future!

ah, nice... I didnt want another noisy fan to cool my 360'. Thats got to be the noisiest console ever=]Dark Drakan;123883 said:So long as there is no external heat going onto the console and you dont leave it running for countless hours with something giving off heat next to it they are usually fine.

Tsuyu;123896 said:And I heard somewhere that using one voids your warranty as it is "using non-Microsoft devices to alter the blah blah blah" or some legal mumbojumbo.
But I have one for extreme cases, and you bet I used it for this 14 hours session.
I didnt mean like that^^ i meant just opening up the side and putting a fan outside the 360' Much less dangerous, and since the fan isnt actually built into the 360' i think the warranty still holds(Microsoft sells custom shells for the 360' so if you have one of these you are allowed to open/close to switch the shells^^).Dark Drakan;123898 said:They used to say that yeah, but that was because certain models of fans were faulty and they were melting to the Xbox 360 frying the ports and chips.

That wouldnt have happened without the fan there to it voided warranty. However with new models of fan that issue has been resolved and theres no way for Microsoft to know you used one so no voiding of warranty.
