Naming Dog???

You all talk about having a dog of course and giving it names i didnt actually see any written proof or in a video saying you cna name a dog.. so..

Can you??? if there is some written proof and a video could you please send link? Cheers!

I doubt you'll be able to give the dog a unique name. I'm pretty sure that the only way you can call them is by whistling. I might be wrong, though, and maybe you'll be able to choose a name from a pre-designated list.

Don't think you can. just like the hero doesnt have a name, the dog most likely wont have one either. part of the whole "Oh I can totally relate to my player, cause he doesn't ahve a name" Deal.
Maybe you can give it an alias, like in Fable I where you could choose from a list of names like Ranger, Arseface, Assassin to mention a few.

Heard you can get the name Lionheart - awesome!

You can most liklyname you dog..in a simular fashion to a zelda game. The name will be above the dog or in its stats but you wont call it by its name but a whistle. You can rename ordinary NPC's so why not your dog.

Yeah, if you can name the dog, it will be in that way, but the name would only be shown in it's stats and not hover above the dog.
Still, I don't think you can give the dog a name, just like you can't give the hero a name, or rename key-characters in the game.

I agree with the "Fable title system" theory being the most likely to be in the game in which you choose a "title" for your dog like you chose a "title" for yourself in the original, and there would be pre-recorded dialogue for each name.

I really think you will be able to name the dog. After all, you can re-name all the towns people that you'll only see every so often. So why wouldn't they let you name the dog that never leaves your side? That would just be silly.... ^^

I'll name mine 'Dozer. Or Akuma which means Devil. Or Nazo which means Freak..... yeah. I like that.... ^^

That were i got my forum name from but its confirmed that you can't pick your dogs name

Really? didn't think you'd be able to.. do you know if it's like a title or do you get to write a name (like you will be able to re-name normal NPCs)?

Btw do you have a link or sumthing? cause I think I read an article where it said you couldn't... not sure tho

I would seem that you would rename the dog the same way that you rename an NPC. That is throung the expression wheel.

but if you called your dog fluffy and then you turned evil, you'll have an evil dog called Fluffy! All the other dogs will pick on him!
