Im afraid what you mean to say is that;

IN YOUR OPINION, this isnt funny. I found it amusing enough, and harmless enough, unless of course certain peoples morally inflated sense of polical correctness has somehow absorbed injury from this, and oh god forbid that would ever happen. Why must people always insist on taking the moral highground, like omg it jokes it about death, how horrific. ITS EVIL KILL IT BURN IT AT THE STAKE!

Would you have actually preferred it to have been a video of a space shuttle blowing up? I know I wouldnt, therefore I am thankful everybody who checked out this thread got rick rolled and thankful that people arent actually dead- as opposed to you lot who are offended by the mere thought that NASA somehow screwed up again and killed some more astronauts and that jokes are being made out of it in poor taste. Cause thats never happened before.

Yeah, its my opinion, no ****. But who elses opinion would it be? A majority of the people on here don't find it funny. With you and the thread starter as the exception. But of course I am not speaking for the people who never saw this, so I don't know. Like I already said, I'm far from being politically correct, but when someone tries to make light of a huge and tragic situation then its not funny. And of course all of us are glad that no one actually died, but he could have played this off far better than saying a Space Shuttle exploded. If he said "Grandma Died" or something that isn't so shocking then it would have been better, but of course thats MY OPINION.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I'm just an argumentive type of person. I try to defend my opinion because I hate it when I somebody must challenge me. I can't just leave it alone, I'm not that type of person. And let me say this, nobody needs to make it a fight. They can stop right now rather than getting into it with me. I can drop it if they have the power to do likewise.

I was wondering how long it would be before somebody chimed in with the 9/11 trip somewhere like it was the ultimate tragic event.


Im not saying a space shuttle exploding isnt tragic, it is, the loss of life is tragic in any situation and it always is. It would be different entirely if this situation had happened very recently or had pin pointed an exact event that happened- all I see is people taking the morally superior high ground. I could see people being angry if it was taking the **** out of an actual death that had happened or a specific space shuttle launch but it isnt- it was a thread title. It was a thread title meant to shock people into clicking it. Get over it. Jeez, the guy aint the devil or anything.

I never said you were saying it wasn't Tragic. I was merely Saying. That we've had people joke about Rape. Wasn't Accepted. Now People joking about death? I don't see why that gets to be accepted. Thus, I don't have to "get over" anything. If he had put "My Mom Just died!" I would have been just as surprised and maybe hurt, because my mom IS dead and I don't see any grounds for joking about things like that. I'm sorry Subjects and Joking about Death bothers me. And, Usually in forums. I try and respect and keep in mind the feelings of the community and all those around me. I may think something is funny. but I might not talk about it for fear of insulting someone else.
Me and Freak were merely saying this whole time, if he wants a title that shocks people he could've used "Aliens Really do Exist!" or something to that effect. Not Something to do with Death. That's all we're really saying, and you're taking it and twisting it as if we hate the person who posted this thread, and that we can't take a joke. I never said he was the "devil" or anything so I don't understand what you mean.

I personally like the song he posted. My Friend listens to it all the time, and they had a segment about it in Family Guy.

I never said that you referred to him as the devil, nor did I mean to imply that you were saying I thought it wasnt tragic. Im sorry about your Mum but death happens- its a natural part of life and people deal with situations in vastly different ways. There is not a person in this world who hasnt, or will not eventually, loose somebody close to them. Not to belittle the loss of your mother but I have two dead grandparents, a dead best friend and another friend who hung himself last summer. Yes it upsets me that their dead but thats part of life and it is something I have had to deal with. If the subject of death bothers as you say it does, its your way of dealing with it and obviously would be better for you then to avoid topics such as this instead getting embroiled in a situation such as this. Just because a subject is 'touchy' or often awkward doesnt mean it cant be discussed and doesnt mean people should constantly tiptoe on egg shells around people who do not like to even entertain the thought of death.

Plus, THE DEAD ASTRONAUTS DIDNT EXIST!! There were no names, no faces, not even a character profile- yeah if it had of been peoples names given Id be ****ed off big time but its not. Their non existent. Its like killing off a character in a roleplay or reading a book where the character dies. Hell Id probably fell more empathy for a character in a book than these 5 non existent astronauts that arent reallty dead anyway.

The reason why aliens exist wouldnt have been a feasable title for a rick roll is because many would simply ignore it- you want a title that is somewhat compelling and grounded in the truth a little. More people open threads to that.

Now lets have a moment of silence for those 5 very brave non existent astronauts who didnt really die cause they didnt really exist.
