Need something to work with

Im still working with blender, im not that great with it but im learning slowly, i was wondering if anyone had any tips? im still working on my sword SAMEHADA but i dont have anything to base its shape on. :ninja::)

yeah but the REAL SAMEHADA has like 5000 Shark Scales going down it, plus its a 2h weapon, will that be a problem later on?
