as of now, Iv read half of the Twilight book and seen half of the movie. I started reading the book to see what all the fuss was about, and I saw half the movie last night cuz my cousin is visiting and he has it and wanted to watch it so we did. we didnt finish the movie, and I dont really care if we do. if he wants to finish it, fine, if he doesnt mention it I wont either. its good enough to watch, but I dont really care, you know?
really its not a bad story, my only complaints are the girl lacks a personality and the vampires sparkle in the sunlight. thats just........ lame. I mean changing the fact that sunlight kills them is ok but, sparkling? seriously?
so I dont hate the book, but its ok at best. like a C grade. its somehow just became popular to like it, just like it was popular to like harry poter. I "liked" harry potter for a little while befor I finally faced the fact that I was bull****ing myself just to be cool.

i'm not into the series as i think it's lame to have vegetarian vampires. i'm into the whole issue of fighting for one's humanity when turned, and the first movie while hinting on it (with the "bad guys"), it just destroyed the whole idea with the shiny guys.
however, when i saw the trailer with that kid turning into a wolf, i said "i gotta see that". movie is probably going to suck, but i like wolves so meh. =/

well, having now seen the entire movie I have to say its a decent film but its way overhyped. Its a decent book and it made a decent movie. but as I said before the girls lack of personality and sparkly vampires loses points in my book.
but its overhyped just like harry potter and I refuse to buy into being "cool" by loving it, or being "cool" buy hating it. theres just to mutch bull**** on both ends of that argument.
but back on topic, will I go see the movie? probably not. unless I go with a girl (or as stated above if your a guy and you wanna see it in theaters with me you gotta get me a nice new teapot and then Il go.) I am very unlikely to see in in the theater. will I buy or rent the DVD? unlikely, but if a person already has it and wants to watch it I wont mind.
