I'm new to Harry Potter's books. Is there a site were they have the book out so I can read it for free?Like, they typed the book out so I can read it?

Re: New to Harry Potter

ummmm maybe...y dont u just go to the nearest library and get it?

Re: New to Harry Potter

I think buying the book would be wise, Triz. You can't miss it, I believe. I just went to the bookstore and they had alot of 'em. That's your best bet :hmm:

Or you could go to the local library.

Re: New to Harry Potter

I know this doesn't matter to you,but my mom gets off of work the same time my libray closes.I'll try to go to the libary.(There ways people were'n harry potter stuff...I'm scared to go in.lol.I'm just PLAY'N)

Alright,thanks!

Re: New to Harry Potter

if you do manage to find a site with the books on 'em, they'll probably be missing a few chapters :hmm:

Re: New to Harry Potter

Yes buying the book is best. To get a sneak peak though you can go to amazon.com and flip through the first few pages of the book.;) Also for some insight, etc. for us HP fans and you might like this you might be interested in going to these sites:

MuggleNet | The ULTIMATE Harry Potter Site - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, JK Rowling, rumors, news, forums, images, video, and more!

Veritaserum - Everything Harry Potter - Book 7, Movie 5 News

Both anti-spoiler I believe. Well Mugglenet is so you won't be spoiled there, which gives you more incentive to buy the book.;)

Re: New to Harry Potter

Snippets online are likely but I would advise against reading the entire book for free online as this is most likely illegal and we do not advocate such activity here.

Give it a little while and the library will have it - or a friend might lend it to you.

Re: New to Harry Potter

It would be a cold day in hell before I let someone put a book for free online. They can do that with movies and music, but never with something sacred as a book...

Yeah, but we all know that there are people who just like to spoil it for everybody, which I really hate, especially a book as sacred as Jk's last.:P

Re: New to Harry Potter

There is only one legal site to download the HP books that I know of and it's for the blind and/or severely visually impaired. My dad owns it - but seeing as none of you guys appear to be disabled in that way, I'm guessing library and cash are the only ways of getting your hands on a LEGAL copy.

Re: New to Harry Potter

Well I've also seen the books in other stores as well, like grocery stores because the series so popular, plus they know they'll make money selling it there too. If not a library or bookstore, you can try other stores cause it's possible they'll have it, and maybe at a discounted price although hardbacks range anywhere from $20-$30 and above, especially if they're new and all.=]

Re: New to Harry Potter

Or Ebay - it's legit and often cheaper....or Amazon marketplace/Playtrade...

Re: New to Harry Potter

Alright you have three choices (that are legal) Triz:

1. Buy the book.

2. Take it out from the library/ borrow from friend.

3. Gouge your eyes out with a knife and go to the site Angel is talking about.

I would suggest the first option, and avoid the third. And an alternative to the third would be to overdose on Viagra and wait till you go blind. But you will have to endure hours of, ermm, "happiness"?

Re: New to Harry Potter

Just ask your Mom to rent a book on her way back, or go to a bookshop with her on the weekend.

Re: New to Harry Potter

Gouging your eyes out? Haha I wouldn't suggest doing that...
