Nooooo!

I installed Ventrilo Server for Windows 32 bit, and I installed it to My Documents. Then after that I could not access that, I then installed it to my Desktop!! Now I cannot access my Desktop files or My Documents!!! And I tried deleting my account, but it says User Accounts (Not Responding)!!!

Any help? Now I can pretty much only use my Linux computer.

Re: Nooooo!

Would've tried it wiht another folder first =\.

You might just have to clear your computer and rely on backed-up files ;)

Re: Nooooo!

It's only on my account. There are others.

Please help!!!!

No one asked for your emo opinion.

Re: Nooooo!

Hard-drive wipe would be the easiest solution.

Re: Nooooo!

But wouldn't that affect all other accounts? I don't want to explain to my mom & dad how I wiped the drive.

(Btw, what is a hard-drive wipe?)

Re: Nooooo!

A fresh re-install of your OS, deleting all data from the harddrive like your PC is brand new.

Re: Nooooo!

NO!!!! I don't want to do that. My mom/dad would get mad that all of their files are gone.

Re: Nooooo!

Uninstalling the program didn't work? No way to select the data folders without going into Documents or your Desktop to delete them either?

Well, you need to either make a new user account, backup your parents files and do a hard drive wipe, or live with it.

Re: Nooooo!

I'm trying to delete my account, but like I said, User Accounts keeps "Not Responding".

Re: Nooooo!

Try accessing the folders, or at least in a way you can delete them and try that, if not you have the other options.

The folders with this defective installation that is causing you to be unable to access certain areas? That's what your first post implied had happened, you installed something somewhere, now that area is inaccessible.

Hm.... well my dad IS the "Super Admin" on the PC. I'll try to delete my account when he is logged on. The account I used to try to delete my own was just the regular "Admin".
