The mere mention of it sends shivers down my spine. In all Role-playing games I love you start out weak but in the end you're the great hero... or villain. But Oblivion never gives you that feeling at all, because once you find a new set of weapons and armour the enemies will be bumped up a notch so it doesn't really make a difference.

No challenge, no reason to advance higher. More bluntly, nothing to do, besides go on a rampage killing everyone, which takes 2 minutes sense your so godly. What is the purpose to keep playing?

Oblivion offered nothing of the sort - in the end, every lowlife bandit or thief somehow got their hands on Daedric or Glass arms and armour. It's just ridiculous and removes any sense of accomplishment when you yourself manage to upgrade your gear.
What's the point, except not falling behind the ever-rising enemies?
Bah I say!
my oblivion was fine, i had an early xbox and it scratched my oblivion but fable on the other hand my first save is in constant slomo, also if you want god like power turn down the difficultyTJ Griffin;267488 said:fable 2 and oblivion/fallout 3 are totally different, gameplay wise. comparing just oblivion and fallout 3 would be better to me.
oblivion has more to do, but its compleatly infested with glitches and i just cant play it anymore. it bores me to tears. Tsuyu sumed it up enough i think. i want godlike power.
fallout 3 is better, although i dont care much for the ugly desolate wastland. but that just me. its cool and all, but very gray. and whats up with the bottle caps for money? i think my only major problem with fallout is they brought back the traders having a limited amount of money. its more realistic but its a major pain when your trying to sell stuff for money. also, unlike oblivion i dont seem to find any really cool treasure. then again i havnt played it much nor beaten it yet.
but for both oblivion and fallout, i find the combat to be a boring chore. personaly, i prefer exploring. combat gets annoying. so i play on easy so i can just kill the pests and get back to treasure hunting.
im not gonna compair fable 2, i dont think it compairs with fallout or oblivion, its to different.
all in all, i think they are all great games, it just depends what mood your in.

lol your not looking hard enuf... oblivion is PACKED with treasure but my defanition of treasusre might be difrent from yours
once again oblivion is HUGE lots of places to find and caves to explore
lol oops my bad >.<TJ Griffin;268187 said:i think you read my post wrong. i was compairing oblivion and fallout 3. i was saying that in fallout, i dont seem to find as much cool treasure as i do in oblivion.
as for exploring, thats what i prefer, and thats what i play oblivion and fallout for. i prefer the exploring and dislike the combat. thats why i play on easy. first person combat in oblivion just seems klumsy. 3rd person is even worse. thats why in oblivion i just play 100% camelioned so the enemys dont bother me. i really, really hate the combat in oblivion. fallout is a bit better, but still bothersome to me. i play the games for exploration.
overall, i think its a matter of what game i prefer to play (rather than what is better than what), and i prefer fable 2. its just a nice relaxing game that i can always fall back and play.
