oh snap crackle crap!

Im typing this with my feet on the chair as Im quite sure there is a mouse (or some rodent) under the cludder under my desk! :O I can hear him scratching at a box and I think I saw its tail with a flashlight. any tips on how to get rid of it?

and no I dont have my feet on the chair cuz Im afraid of it, Id just rather not get bit on the toe by some wild rodent.

edit: it seems to be gone now. but Im sure there is something running around here. the dogs been going nuts digging after something in the yard and weve been hearing the thing scratch at stuff lately to. we have had problems with them a few years ago, it seems the stupid things are back. :getlost:

I have a lot of tall grass in my back yard, I'm lazy and only run my tractor 4 times a year, so I get mice sometimes. I have found that the paper glue traps are great, put them along the edge of the wall or under the desk where you or pets won't step in them. My dog stepped in one and went crazy trying to shake it off.
Mice seem attracted to them, they are baited with some kind of scent, but not food that goes bad, so they can stay til something gets caught in them.
By paper I mean just that, not the ones with a plastic base, but thick paper. If you have small rodents you can cut them into 3 pieces.

I remember when I used to live in this old House in Delaware, we had a Mouse problem but it was solved naturally through the heroic efforts of a daring Black Snake that had found it's way into our Basement. We left it there because it was a happy go lucky 'ol chap. :)

Ant trap: It holds poisonous items that smell delicious to them, they grab the tiny pieces and bring it back to the caverns and it releases a venom/toxin that kills alot of the ants, then the hive leaves to a new less poisonous spot (Usually a long way from you)
Method two: Don't know the name or what it does and im lazy: It gives you this chaos pill or something like that that works like an ant trap, except it releases a pheremone that makes the ants go psycho and attack the queen, thus killing it, and as they are majoritorily hive minded, they will be lost without the queens guidance, and will die out due to their differences in opinion (Like Anarchy taking over the government)

METHOD : My favorite: Enjoy them, catch them and burn em.

right now in my room at night i hear a bunch of scratching noises, little feet scurrying and squeaks and i think there is a colony of rats/mice living above my ceiling(i live in a house in a city)
