One red ring

while I was away my 360 broke but it was not the dreaded rings of death it is only the one ring that flashes at the bottom left of the 360 I visited the xbox support website and it said that something is disconnected but I checked and everything seems to connected in properly could anyone tell me what this means it would be of great help to know if I have to send it off for repaires

Re: One red ring

Make sure you have plugged everything (including the hard drive and such) out and reconnect everything.

Have you tried moving it to another location or plug socket? It might be a system failure of the hard drive or power block.

Must be but my mate of mine said that if you wrap up the 360 in two towels and let it over heat then let it cool down it will work do you think that would work do you think it will work or just damage it more.

Re: One red ring

One of my friends said that worked, you leave only the power in and nothing else and let it sit in the towel for a half-hour, but eventually it will fail and that won't work.

I heard it could be something wrong with the DVD-reader aswell... I also got one red light but it dissapeard after a couple of hours.

Dont do it, i would never try anything like that. At the end of the day it might be a temporary fix but it wont last long and will do more harm than good.

Re: One red ring

oh yea. thats just power failure...see the xbox thinks* that you have another power outlet from the same socket. another possibility is that the problem is the disk drive or ur hardrive you can try removing ur hardrive and turning it back on.

if that doesnt work make sure the 360 is not crowded and the heat vent isnt covered, untangle and uncover the wires then immediately turn the xbox off and pull out all the wires. wait an hour or so and it should be alright....microsoft imperfections i tell you

good luck

TY
