Our Imported child.

Okay so im not sure if this topic was talked about already but i cant find it so ill just start my own and see what i get.

So it is confirmed that our child will be imported from fable 2 but i mean what does that really mean specifically?? Will they look exactly like what our child in fable 2 looked like, only older? Or does importing him/her simply mean they will give us some generic face but he/she will have the same name as the child in fable 2?

And how does it decide which child you get to use? I guess there will be some type of prompt before you start up the game with a list of the families you had displayed so that you can choose one right? I suppose that would make the most sense.

Personally if all the excitment of importing ur child from fable 2 means is giving you their name and whatever rep that came from their Hero parent then i dont see the point in it. I would like to see some variety at the start and not the same generic face that player B has even though we married two completely different people.

(Example: If i married someone from bowerstone oldtown with red hair then i think the child should ressemble them in some way as opposed if you married someone in the upperclass with blonde hair.) Thats not that hard to do right?

What do you guys think?

I'm pretty sure it's our fable 2 heros that are getting imported not our children.

...The design for the Fable III character is essentially already chosen...so this entire topic is irrelevant.

The only thing importing the files means is that the choices you made in Fable II will apply to Fable III, not your children or wives, or anything else, simply the choices you made.

There nothing irrelevant about it. The developer said that you would be playing the child of your hero and importing him/her from fable 2. I wanted to know what that encompassed.

So really its just our choices which wont really effect much im sure besides maybe the shape the kingdom is in now, a quest or two and a passing glance at some places.

Tsk tsk i just wish there was some type of benefit to marrying the different types of villiagers out there. But its really all the same which isnt that exciting really.

So i wonder if when heros marry other heros in fable 3 and have kids will all hero + hero kids have a generic look to them.

I know this is off topic, but you won't need the DLCs in order to import your fable II game to fable III right? Maybe not the smartest question, but I was concerned since I can't download the DLCs without them causing glitches within my game.

The Hero you played in F2 MIGHT show up. But they never said that your children from F2 would be the ones you were playing as. In fact, I believe they said the opposite.

Your F2 children will not be imported.

And no, Redfable, you don't need Live or DLC to import your save game. Completely unrelated. Mercifully.

Well im not making it up. He says it first 20 seconds of the video. So i know what im talking about is not irrelevant on a forum thats about fable 3.

You play the son/daughter of the Hero of Bowerstone, not YOUR hero.

At least thats what i got from reading about it.

Yea i never said you did. I posted the vid so i wouldnt say something against it. All i was talking about was the imported child that will become our fable 3 player. I never said anything about playing a fable 2 hero or him appearing in fable 3 or anything like that.

Lol ok so this topic has turned into me defending things i never posted. Since my original question kinda got answered and no one else seems to have any other view points on my actual topic i think im done heh. Thanks

were the kid of the hero, of fable 2. and i doubt any resemblance to the kids we might have had.

If we were our kid from Fable II, we would be 70 years old at the start of the game. You will be a kid from our Fable II character, but not one we ever saw.

The child is the hero of bowerstone (hero from fable 2) BUT the child we play was unborn during fable 2. If you have the See the future pack it tells you on there :)

Ok ok. Fable 2 is set 50 years into the future. Your hero from fable 2 the hero of bowerstone has 2 children. Thats you and your brother Logan. Logan kills the hero of bowerstone who is currently king and becomes a Tyranincal ruler. Then the game becomes about the new hero (you) overthrowing him and ascending the throne.

The character designs for Logan and the new Hero (Both male and female) have already been designed.

So. In conclusion. You are not importing your children from Fable 2.

What the guy says is that you played F2 you're playing the child of your Fable 2 hero and that information will come in. He does not say "if you had kids in F2, one of them will be your character in F3."

And See the Future, if you've played it, does heavily imply, if not outright say (don't have time/this is a bad place (at school on public PC) to find the specific custscene on youtube) that the children involved in F3 were born subsequent to that game, regardless of whatever children were born in 2.

Someone has already said this probably but I'll say it now:

Your character had 2 sons after Fable 2, *one was Logan, the other is main guy in Fable 3* You play as your character's kid. YOU DO NOT play as one of your children in your fable 2 copy, the only thing that gets sent over I believe is your Fable 2 hero. If you have more questions that arn't rude, i'll try my best to look on the web to find them.

Ahhhhh it all makes sense now. Thanks for clearing it up, So your not importing the child just the data(Choices) and you are playing the child of the fable 2 hero but its not necessarily one of the actual children you had.

Well then that answers that lmbo. Thanks guys :)

Um, What?

never said you did, nor did i mention it myself.

Maybe i was unclear? "you play as the hero of bowerstone's child, not YOUR hero's child"

Is that better? I mean it made perfect sense to me.


It's already been answered as i can see..But i wanted to reply anyway :D
