Personal problem. *sigh*

So yeah I hate the summer. I'm a viking, I want it cold and snowy. However, there is also another reason I hate the heat; whenever I get hot my skin starts to itch uncontrollably! Especially bad where I am hairy such as the face(beard and eyebrows), scalp and other.... hairy regions.

So I usually barricade myself in a cool cellar or something during the summer and grin it out, however as of late I've been getting a bit flubbery all over due to getting a desk job. However as you can imagine, this problem makes any form of exersice impossible. Just going for a walk becomes unbearable when it is hot outside. Even staring up a naked chick can bring it about!

The strangest thing is that I don't get any rashes or anything. There is no physical evidence whatsoever of my condition.

Maybe it is all in my head and I'm going insane?

P.S Just writing this is making me itch like crazy, due to the fear of someone looking over my shoulder here at work and finding out what I'm typing.

I hate the heat, the cold is awesome.

And I think you should put some lime in a coconut and shake it all up.
That should help.

I get Summer itch too, especially at night, I attribute it to bugs and sweat.
I wish it was Fall and Winter constantly.

As for the exercise, head up to the gym, they are air conditioned. Or do it at home and pump up the fans and the air, do some sit ups and push ups and maybe jog around a bit, that is about all you really need.

I wish that would work. But I can sit in the friggin' artic and still itch; it isn't as much about the ambient temprature as it is my own. Even in a cold room you will get hot when doing anything physical.

Worst part is that whenever I have to go and do something social, I feel all dirty. When you're constantly scratching your scalp, everyone naturally assumes you're either filthy or have lice. :'(

I know it sucks, And the pony tail doesn't help really, it just keeps it off your neck. This might be harder for you, as I do not have a full stache or goatie, but when it gets to hot I give it up and shave it because it comes back pretty fast anyway.
Tanktops and nylon pants is my summer fashion, I look like a Redneck Hipster. Of course I also like looky dapper, so if a party rolls around I might tough through it and throw on at least a short sleeved dress shirt.

Check the doctor. It may be one of those things you get as a child and it goes away but in your mind it's still there so the itches come because you believe in your mind you will still get them. Just a thought.

Tsuyu, are you allergic to sweat? Aside from the itching, do you get rash or bumps or anything? If so, have it checked out, might be worth looking into.

The hell? You can be allegic to your own sweat? Cruel fate! The only thing I've noticed is that if I scratch the itchy areas the skin turns red when. if I poke/scracth the non-itchy areas with equal force they don't.

Hey, I was born in Newcastle which would make my ancestors Vikings and I like the summer!

I get the itch sometimes and it stops me from sleeping until the early hours of the morning. I don't know. Maybe rub something natural on your skin? I'm not sure what, though.

Inflammation is an essential part of the body's healing process: It occurs at the cellular level when the immune system tries to fight off disease-causing germs and repair injured tissue.

A website said that "Inflammation can be invisible." So you're not going insane.

1. Eat an anti-inflammatory diet. This means following a Mediterranean diet.

2. Look for the right supplements. Taking vitamin and mineral supplements that contain antioxidants like vitamins C and E.

3. Stay physically active. Getting 30-45 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise.

Hope this helps. [:

I've heard this might be caused by dry skin. I have the same problem actually, but I haven't yet done anything against it since it's not exactly severe (but annoying sometimes, especially when I get even a bit warmer, due to sun, exercise or whatever) and the one "moisturizing" shampoo I tried made my hair feel like hay.
