Poems by the Nightfox

I imagined this would happen sooner or later, as I love writing poems and that sort of thing. It's just a small taster, and I'd be willing to write some more, even by request if anyone wishes so. And so here we are (each paragraph is a different poem just so you know!):

The mind of wonder, the mind of grace,
Rules the world and the human race,
Blessed are the lucky few,
Whose thoughts are fresh, their ideas new,
Those who bring the beauty alive,
And into the midst of the unknown dive,
Who are they who speak of love,
But the ones with the beauty of a lone dove,
A hero, a fighter,
A master, a path-lighter,
Within your life there are those who lead you on,
With the coming of a new dawn,
Those who can hold your hand in the shadowed halls,
Those who can catch your every fall,
Those who watch over you for when there’s danger,
Or for when you’re in a land unknown and stranger,
Fear not the darkness of the land,
For leading you is a guiding hand,
Wherever in your travels you may roam,
There will be a guiding light to steer you home.

Exhilarating it is for the bold traveling fellow,
With a surprising grace, charm and mood quite mellow,
See the world in another’s eyes,
Travel under bright blue skies,
Heed the call of destiny,
Set your soul and spirit free,
Go with the road that leads you away,
For the adventurer cannot stay,
In a home, quiet and alone,
While stories and tales await that are not known,
Follow the path, the road of another,
Perhaps a friend, a foe or a brother,
Light the path with your soul’s fire,
And lift your life to places higher,
Above the treetops and with the breeze,
The sensation that brings you to your knees,
Unleash yourself and let your ideas soar,
Never settle for less, but demand more,
Live life a different way,
Follow the path you wish and pray,
Just for a moment think what you can be,
Live on the edge and follow your destiny,
No one but you can hold the key,
Follow the road that sets you free.

Another winter night falls,
Above the trees and at the walls,
A chill, great and vast,
A stormy gale the land has passed,
I walk another night alone,
Over dark snow and stone,
To a place that seems unreachable,
And a thought in my mind is unbreachable,
The thought that I may never live another day,
To hard I’ve fought, a price I will pay,
Under the cold lit moon,
My time awaited is soon,
The life is gone in my eyes,
Flashing before them the ruthless lies,
Of deceit, of pain and distrust,
Of the pain of pleasure and false lust,
And so goes another soldier of fate,
The shadows are dark and the hour is late,
Those who fought the long hard war,
Never knew what was in store,
For when life’s challenges arise,
Destiny, out in the blackness it cries,
In the moonlight, where no shadow can disguise,
Another soldier of fate dies.

There is destitution,
A new revolution,
Think often those who began the cause,
Those who laid down the laws,
Of a new revolt against the unjust,
Who lied and spoke of peace and trust,
Those who control us tried to change us,
To stop us and rearrange us,
But to no avail,
They tried and did fail,
And though they may seek their fortunes of gold,
None can stand against the people’s dreams of old.

:p jk.

Here's another one I just concocted this morning. I hope you like reading it as much as I did writing it... which, come to think of it, was not very much... o_O

Living against what’s considered alright,
Just to experience freedom’s flight,
Sometimes you laugh, sometimes you cry,
Sometimes life goes by in the blink of an eye,
They all may say that you are wrong,
Just because you sang the song,
The one of freedom and peace,
Of all wars’ cease,
Like a cavern broad and dark,
Like a shadow, bold and stark,
Life can be an endless hell,
If on the rest your mind does dwell,
Think not of the petty things in life,
Or the most meager strife,
For it is not the critic who counts,
Through life’s up and downs.

Thanks, Angel. I believe I have another here somewhere- ah-ha! Check this one out. ;)

Spark the fire,
of love and desire,
which many secrets hold,
of tales and legends great,
and of courage bold.

Walk along the weathered road,
and bring good company,
carry swiftly your load,
and see all that you can see,
go with honor and uphold your name,
and in defeat, feel no shame,
break the mold of the impossible,
blaze another trail,
pay no heed to the improbable,
weather the strongest gale,

Spark the fire,
of love and desire,
which many secrets hold,
of tales and legends great,
and of courage bold.

Bombard the walls of boundary,
lift the secret veil,
open the gate with the key,
and create a legendary tale,
through struggle and bitter quarrel,
and wherever the road will dip and bend,
remember that every fable has a moral,
and every story has its end.

Spark the fire,
of love and desire,
which many secrets hold,
of tales and legends great,
and of courage bold.

Re: Poems by the Nightfox

Sorry it took so long people. Here are two other constructs of my imagination. Read a bit and forgive me for not posting that often...

Betrayal

Stay far from the sin,
And the dark shadow,
Stay close to your kin,
And always remember and know,
Forever as there is the sky,
And as there is the stars,
As long as the earthly bound die,
And as long as the world bears its scars,
Live by your own rule,
Blaze your own trail,
Know the friend from the fool,
And never yield to betrayal,

Your mind, and every thought,
They are yours alone,
Remember what the rest wrought,
And to each his own,
The hangman and the priest,
The darkness and the light,
The greatest and the least,
The day and the night,
Often the road winds and bends,
As is made a new tale,
Then will be tied loose ends,
And none will yield to betrayal.

Freedom’s Will

Fall the night upon the land,
Raise the sun with beauty’s hand,
Throw the wind across the plains,
Watch as the sunset wanes,
Follow the storm above the hill,
And let live freedom’s will,

Cast the shadow across the ground,
Wait until a new day’s crowned,
Set the waves upon the sea,
And just let things be,
Let green grass the valleys fill,
And let live freedom’s will,

Drop the rain to the ground,
Listen to the slightest sound,
Let the twilight give way,
And adjourn the day,
Watch as night comes on still,
And let die freedom’s will.

Bravo nightfox known as darg
I will cheer you on
If to me you do the same
but I suppose if you do that means that this fox is tame

Oh you will see what I have in store,
If only I can write some more,
I'll think up something new,
And perhaps write for a few,
But in this bard's game,
Let's just say this fox isn't tame... :D

Re: Poems by the Nightfox

Ironic or not, I have concocted a new poem...

Fame and glory,
It's all the same story,
Those who have the claim,
To hold fast to their fame,
Those who have not the life,
Blessed without strife,
Cannot measure up to the deed,
The call that none can heed,
A puzzle, a challenge, a mystery,
A life less ordinary can set you free.

Re: Poems by the Nightfox

So true, so very true. The end saying is partially based on a song "Life Less Ordinary" by a band I've just discovered called "Carbon Leaf" (pretty wierd, but still a very good song) Anyway, here's a new poem:

Staring up at the deep blue sky,
And wondering simply: why,
But when I wonder and ask again,
I'm prompted to ask when,
When the world stops turning around,
And is never heard a sound,
When life is at its end,
And when none alone can fend,
What is in store for us alone,
Soft as paper or hard as stone,
When if all we had was love and grace,
Perhaps we'd win the human race...
