Poems by the Nightfox
I imagined this would happen sooner or later, as I love writing poems and that sort of thing. It's just a small taster, and I'd be willing to write some more, even by request if anyone wishes so. And so here we are (each paragraph is a different poem just so you know!):
The mind of wonder, the mind of grace,
Rules the world and the human race,
Blessed are the lucky few,
Whose thoughts are fresh, their ideas new,
Those who bring the beauty alive,
And into the midst of the unknown dive,
Who are they who speak of love,
But the ones with the beauty of a lone dove,
A hero, a fighter,
A master, a path-lighter,
Within your life there are those who lead you on,
With the coming of a new dawn,
Those who can hold your hand in the shadowed halls,
Those who can catch your every fall,
Those who watch over you for when there’s danger,
Or for when you’re in a land unknown and stranger,
Fear not the darkness of the land,
For leading you is a guiding hand,
Wherever in your travels you may roam,
There will be a guiding light to steer you home.
Exhilarating it is for the bold traveling fellow,
With a surprising grace, charm and mood quite mellow,
See the world in another’s eyes,
Travel under bright blue skies,
Heed the call of destiny,
Set your soul and spirit free,
Go with the road that leads you away,
For the adventurer cannot stay,
In a home, quiet and alone,
While stories and tales await that are not known,
Follow the path, the road of another,
Perhaps a friend, a foe or a brother,
Light the path with your soul’s fire,
And lift your life to places higher,
Above the treetops and with the breeze,
The sensation that brings you to your knees,
Unleash yourself and let your ideas soar,
Never settle for less, but demand more,
Live life a different way,
Follow the path you wish and pray,
Just for a moment think what you can be,
Live on the edge and follow your destiny,
No one but you can hold the key,
Follow the road that sets you free.
Another winter night falls,
Above the trees and at the walls,
A chill, great and vast,
A stormy gale the land has passed,
I walk another night alone,
Over dark snow and stone,
To a place that seems unreachable,
And a thought in my mind is unbreachable,
The thought that I may never live another day,
To hard I’ve fought, a price I will pay,
Under the cold lit moon,
My time awaited is soon,
The life is gone in my eyes,
Flashing before them the ruthless lies,
Of deceit, of pain and distrust,
Of the pain of pleasure and false lust,
And so goes another soldier of fate,
The shadows are dark and the hour is late,
Those who fought the long hard war,
Never knew what was in store,
For when life’s challenges arise,
Destiny, out in the blackness it cries,
In the moonlight, where no shadow can disguise,
Another soldier of fate dies.
There is destitution,
A new revolution,
Think often those who began the cause,
Those who laid down the laws,
Of a new revolt against the unjust,
Who lied and spoke of peace and trust,
Those who control us tried to change us,
To stop us and rearrange us,
But to no avail,
They tried and did fail,
And though they may seek their fortunes of gold,
None can stand against the people’s dreams of old.
